A Horrific Experience!! Avoid This Place Like the Plague! This dental office is an absolute nightmare! If you're considering going here, do yourself a favor and run as far away as possible. My experience has been a complete disaster from start to finish. I went in for what I thought would be a simple cleaning, (to the 2130 Pleasant Valley Rd, Suite 108, Winchester) only to be blindsided with a shocking $300 bill because the dentist was out of my provider network. I was never informed about this until I received the bill! But it only gets worse from there. In a moment of sheer foolishness, I decided to get a crown at another location (160 Rivendell Ct,Suite 7, Winchester, VA) thinking it would be different. I deeply regret that decision! They not only billed my insurance twice but also submitted incorrect charges.

To make matters worse, they accepted payment and then had the audacity to send me to collections for a bill that was already paid! I have all the proof, yet it's painfully obvious they don't care at all. The collection agency they use, SYNCOM, is just as incompetent and unhelpful. I've been in a frustrating back-and-forth with them for over a month, and the only response I get is that their "customer" (the same people at Valley Dental Care) can't find the payment. I even SENT A COPY OF THE ELECTRONIC CHECK SUBMITTED BY MY INSURANCE! They keep insisting and repeatedly send me an account statement from "The Dentist Office," but they fail to provide any proof of receiving the payment--like the bank statement from the day my insurance issued the payment, which I have! So here I am, being forced to pay again or risk ruining my credit score. After doing some digging, I discovered I'm not alone in this mess; this is a common tactic for them! Their management is completely unreachable and indifferent. If you find yourself on their "blacklist," good luck getting anyone to answer your calls.

Need to cancel an appointment? Good luck with that too! They charge you $50 if you don't show up and another $50 if you're late! But if they keep you waiting? Just a casual "sorry for the wait. "And if that wasn't enough, they even have the nerve to charge you $5 just for sending a statement! This place has zero respect for their patients or their financial wellbeing. Do yourself a huge favor and save yourself the stress and frustration--AVOID VALLEY DENTAL CARE AT ALL COSTS! Every one of their offices operates the same way. They're nothing but a money-grabbing machine from California that only cares about charging you and sending you to collections, even when you and your insurance have already paid. You've been warned!

Dr Michael is great. The manager is the worst No wonder they can’t keep office staff there. Someday Karma is going to strike Amber down and she deserves the full force. Valley Dental must be a tax write for the owners because they don’t care either

Rivendell Court, Winchester location: The hygienists were slow and inexperienced. One hygienist was being trained, which is fine. The lead hygienist took so long to lay out equipment, double-checking or second-guessing. The dentist did the cleaning. Never had such an uncomfortable cleaning. The x-rays had to be done multiple times. The hygienist did not know how to do the polishing. In all my years of having my teeth cared for, the polishing has always been done to the gum line, behind, and in between teeth.

Not here. The polish/ buffing was only applied to the center surface. Flossing was poor. The receptionist was excellent. In fact, the entire staff was friendly. Except for the receptionist, everyone else seemed to have little experience. I will not trust these folks with my mouth again.
