The staff at Walker Dental feels like close friends. The care and services provided are done with such compassion, it makes going to the dentist less of a chore. We are moving out of the area but I will always use the Walker level of care as my standard for judging other dentists in the future.

This office is out of network for me but still files with my insurance and i pay the difference. Worth every dollar.

I honestly don’t like to leave negative reviews or comments, but, I feel this is warranted. I’m a Disabled Veteran and periodically Veteran Affairs outsource care to medical/dental professionals locally or beyond the immediate Columbia area. It just so happens due to my fear of anything dental related, I require sedation or other means that relegates comfort and our local VA does not have that capability. From a list of surrounding Dentists I chose Walker dental primarily due the close proximity to my home and the reviews were impressive. During the month of January while I spoke to a VA coordinator, information regarding approval was sent to Walker Dental and I was advised to give it a few minutes for the Walker staff to receive the fax and to call their office to confirm receipt of the fax and to schedule an appointment. I waited 30 minutes and called the office and spoke to the receptionist and was informed that the individual responsible for scheduling was not available and a message will be given to her regarding my call. After an hour passed I called again and was met with the same response. A few minutes later “Catie” called and angrily informed me that there are other people that needed assistance and that she would get to me when she could; however, she verified receipt of the fax from the VA and stated she would call me when she was able to do so. Based on her demeanor and the interaction, I KNEW this individual was going to make this process extremely difficult…I just KNEW it. Two weeks passed and I called the office again to inquire about the status of an appointment and was again told that “Catie” would return my call. A few hours passed and I called again, but, this time I asked to speak with Dr. Walker and was informed that he was with a patient and a message would be delivered to him.

Miraculously, “Catie” called to tell me that she had been extremely busy and was unable to get to me sooner. I interjected that practically three weeks has passed and that had I not called and asked to speak with Dr. Walker she would not have called. Naturally, she denied that was the underlying reason and told me that the next available appointment would be a few weeks away. I accepted the time slot she had given me and made note of it. An hour later “Catie” called and said that she maneuvered a few things and placed me before seven other patients and was able to get me an appointment within the week. I gladly accepted; although I knew that wasn’t the case. The appointment went well and the Dental provider was exceptional. After the appointment and before my departure I was told to see the scheduler to make a follow-up appointment. I spoke with “Catie” and she said she would call me with an appointment after paperwork to the VA was submitted and approved. A few weeks passed, so, I called and “Catie” answered the phone and I asked her if she managed to get any information from the VA and she stated that she wasn’t sure if she submitted anything to the VA (concerning my follow-up) and she would have to check and see. I asked her about administrative procedures and wanted to know if she entered information in the computer and that obtaining a paper trail was not difficult.

She then said, “to be on the safe side I’ll submit it now”. Had I not called, I am 100% positive I would not be in receipt of any communication. At this point I requested to speak with Dr. Walker, because, I felt it was his obligation to know that his “scheduler” was not only unprofessional, and vindictive, but, had purposely prevented a patient from receiving dental treatment. Unfortunately, after repeated attempts to speak with Dr. Walker my calls went unanswered. Sadly, between Dr. Walker not caring enough about patient concerns or if his administrations negligence prevented the transfer of my messages, I wholeheartedly hope it’s the latter; because if it isn’t, Veterans and society as a whole deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, this dental faculty is only as good as the owner of this practice.

Ms Tina is my dental hygienist Hero forever! A true professional in dental services. She explains everything in full details to ensure the patient understands all that is involved in my personal dental care. I am happy that the Veterans Administration assigned my dental services over to Walker Dental Care. The front desk personnel were extremely cordial and courteous when you first walk into the building.

The areas of the facility were super clean and very inviting. I was truly impressed with Dr Walker’s evaluations of my dental needs. An outstanding Dental Service Program at Walker’s Dental Care!

I had my first appointment as a new patient with Walker dental and it was a great visit! The office was clean, efficient with scheduling and paperwork. They have automated appointment reminders which is good. The hygienist was through in cleaning my teeth and gentle. Dr Walker checked my teeth and explained everything he noticed and recommended.

I rode by this office for a year after I moved to Blythewood and noticed not a mass amount of cars in the parking lot. Now I know it’s because they take their time with each patient. It’s a marathon not a race in this office. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Stars!!
