About
Dr. Westover became a dentist because of the huge impact dentists can make on one individual as well as on entire communities. He loves a good smile, and he is committed to helping people in all stages of dental health work towards achieving their ideal oral health. Most of all, the wonderful field of dentistry affords him the ability to create lifelong relationships with patients and their families. Dr. Westover is dedicated to life-long learning by constantly studying the latest techniques from experts in the various fields of dentistry. He has accumulated more than 500 hours of continuing education courses, and he has dedicated himself to mastering all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Westover has completed courses at both the Pankey and Spear Institutes of Dentistry, two highly regarded institutions of continuing dental education. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a delegate to the Virginia Dental Association. He works hard to provide the highest standard of care, as well as a friendly and caring environment for each patient. Dr. Westover loves working with people of all ages- from infants to those in their golden years. Dr. Westover has expanded his services to the retirement community of Westminster Canterbury in Winchester, VA. He serves at the retirement community once a month in order to help those unable to gain easy access to a dentist. Helping those less fortunate is a passion of his. He has received several awards for his involvement with the Mission of Mercy projects, where he helps to bring dental care to those less fortunate. He will do everything in his power to accommodate those with dental emergencies, even if he has to come into the office early or stay late. While attending VCU, Austin met and married his wife, Dr. Mitra Westover. They have 2 young boys, with #3 due April 21st, 2015. They feel blessed and happier than ever. When the Westovers are not practicing dentistry, they are spending time with their families, going on dates, traveling, and renovating their home in Winchester. He has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Neumann and Westover Family Dentistry for the past three years. He continues to thrive and build his practice alongside Dr. Mitra Westover and Dr. John Neumann. They look forward to getting to know each of you individually, and they will be here to take care of any dental needs that you may have.
