Dr. Demir was born and raised in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkiye (Turkey). His interest in dentistry and medicine emerged early in life from observing his parents, both of whom were dentists.Dr. Demirs pursuit of higher education led him to the United States when he was 17. He initially focused on business and obtained a bachelors degree in business. He further expanded his knowledge by earning a masters degree in accountancy. However, his passion for dentistry persisted, leading him to pursue a doctorate in dentistry from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.During his time in Cleveland, Dr. Demir became involved in various activities outside of dentistry. He was introduced to the universitys chess club during his masters program, which sparked his interest in the game of chess. He also dedicated his time to helping others by working as a math tutor and chess teacher in local businesses and programs. Additionally, he discovered a love for hiking while exploring the beautiful Ohio Metroparks, known as the Emerald Necklace.In his spare time, Dr. Demir indulges in a variety of hobbies. He has a passion for reading, finding joy in exploring different literary genres. Dr. Demir also embraces an active lifestyle and enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, and participating in team sports. Additionally, he has cultivated his musical talents by teaching himself how to play the keys and appreciating a wide range of music, from classical to jazz.Through his diverse experiences and interests, Dr. Demir brings a well-rounded perspective and a genuine passion for dentistry to his practice at Smiles for Life.
