Dr. Edwin Helitzer, DMD

Doesn't listen to concerns, hardly any staff and in a rush to end appointment

He's been my dentist for years and is gentle, intelligent and he listens. He's saved my smile :)

Our entire family went to Helitzer for most of our life in the Berkshires and our child’s been there since 2 years old. I brought up multiple concerns for 2 cavities I noticed on my child and he said they didn’t need to be treated because they were baby teeth and would fall out. He refused to do X-rays to figure out the extent of them, even after I took my child in for extra appointments because I was worried about the teeth starting to decay. He also told us at every exam that the rest of my child’s teeth were perfectly fine. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and X-rays, turns out my child has multiple cavities, an infection in one of the decaying teeth, and will now require extensive and costly work. The other dentist told us if Helitzer had just addressed the cavities when they first started my child would be perfectly fine but now they need painful and costly work done. Please never go here and subject yourself to his negligence!

I am a new patient for dr.helitzer. My first visit and meeting was informative, and put me at ease. I had a very thorough cleaning,and found both staff and Dr. very knowledgeable. I was given an appointment for some much needed dental work. Successful first visit. Old fashioned dentistry at its best!

EXCELLENT! Dr. Helitzer immediately saw what my tooth problem was, provided treatment which was painless, and recommended what I should do and not due so it won't happen again and how to better maintain good healthy teeth.

I have had very favorable experiences across the board with Dr. Helitzer and staff. I have never experienced any difficulty with appointments or with the actual dental work. The staff has worked around my schedule and have been very gracious in regard to this detail. The dentistry has been absolutely painless I have had some challenging issues, and I am more than satisfied with the work. I would recommend Dr. Helitzer without reservation to anyone seeking dental care.
