About

Dr. Sword was born and raised in Pikeville, Ky, where he graduated from Pikeville High School in 2007. Dr. Sword moved on to Georgetown College where he was an athlete on the Track and Field team. During his time in Georgetown, Dr. Sword realized that being an orthodontist was the best fit for him. He chose to continue his education at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he became a Doctor of Dental Medicine. After his time in Lexington, Dr. Sword was one of four residents selected to attend the University of Tennessee's three-year specialty training program in Memphis, Tn. where he eventually served as chief resident of the orthodontics department. Dr. Sword now practices Orthodontics in Pikeville, KY alongside Dr. Tom Hartsock at Hartsock and Sword Orthodontics.
