Dr. James A. Gray received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, VA. He then attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He went on to complete his residency training for oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harlem Hospital, in affiliation with Columbia University in Manhattan, New York.After residency, Dr. Gray pursued a surgical fellowship in orthognathic surgery. He was given the special privilege of working under the direction of world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey C. Posnick, as a surgical fellow at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with clinical privileges at Georgetown University Hospital.Dr. Gray's surgical focus includes full-scope oral and facial surgery with interest in dental alveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, IV sedation, and corrective jaw surgery.Dr. Gray is committed to providing his patients with the utmost care. He makes it his priority to ensure that all patients are comfortable and that each experience is an exceptional 5-star experience.Dr. Gray has been voted and named by his peers as "Top Doctor", featured in Coastal Virginia Magazine.
