About
Dr. Joel is a native from Lima, Peru. At 13 years of age, he and his family moved to North Carolina to pursue the American dream. After completing his bachelor studies at North Carolina State University in Biology and Chemistry, He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for three years before attending Marquette University to pursue his career goal of becoming a dentist. While studying at Marquette, Dr. Joel continued his passion for helping people at the local, national and international levels. In 2010 and 2011, He had the privilege to provide dental screenings and treatment in remote areas of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Joel is co-responsible for the development and establishment of a nationwide program that allows dental students to engage in community service together. Dr. Joel graduated from Marquette in 2012 and has been practicing general dentistry in North Carolina since. Dr. Joel attends renowned dental conferences yearly to keep up with the best dental care possible. Dr. Joel enjoys attending church events, traveling, and sharing time with friends and family.
