About
Dr. Josie Silva Lopes received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from The Medical University of South Carolina after getting a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. She is passionate about expanding her education and has completed hundreds of hours of post-graduate continuing education courses. She attended the prestigious Pankey Institute, where she studied advanced principles of occlusion and treatment planning. Dr. Silva is currently working towards her fellowship at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies which focuses on getting patients with Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD) out of pain. She is also enrolled in the UNC Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency Program which concentrates on TMD, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), and other sleep disorders. Dr. Silva strives to create an anxiety-free dental experience for her patients and incorporates Aromatherapy and Spa Dental Services into her dental appointments. Dr. Silva is also an Invisalign® provider and speaks Portuguese & Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga and hanging out with her dog, Malachite, who is the Lane & Associates' Therapy dog.
