About
Howdy! My name is Dr. Lydia. Most of my patients know me as the "filling doc," but there is a lot more to me than that. I was born in Ghana, located on the western peninsula of Africa. When I was four years old, my family moved to Fort Worth, Texas (now you get where the greeting came from). Growing up in Texas, my sisters and I developed a real love for sports, participating in volleyball, track and softball. Football is kind of a big deal in Texas, and I'm all for it. During college, I spent some time in Seminole, Oklahoma playing volleyball for the Seminole State Trojans. Now, if you know where Seminole is, you deserve a high five. There, I started developing a love for the sciences, particularly the health sciences. In 2008, my family decided to relocate to the Bull City, and I decided to follow. I transferred to The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (Go Heels) where I met the love of my life, Olu. My husband is a tried-and-true Wolfpacker, so he won't admit that our love started on Franklin Street. We'll forgive him for that.
