About
Dr. Mark Schwitz is a board-certified orthodontist, and has been in private practice in Marlboro and Howell since 1985. The practice of orthodontics is his passion. His primary goal is to see that each family in his office has the most positive experience they have ever had in a healthcare environment. Dr. Schwitz's goals are to achieve excellent orthodontic results in a wonderful, comfortable atmosphere. You will love the at-home feeling of his practice as your smile is beautifully transformed. Dr. Schwitz grew up on Long Island, New York, where his father, Dr. Sydney Schwitz, was also a board-certified orthodontist. Dr. Schwitz credits his father with teaching him how to be a true professional by treating everyone he came into contact with on a daily basis exactly the same: with dignity and respect. Dr. Schwitz attended the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated in three years with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1979, he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. After completing two more years of advanced study at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry, Dr. Schwitz completed the requirements established by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association to become certified as a specialist in orthodontics. He is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Schwitz received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oral/Facial Complex, and gave a presentation at the Greater New York Dental Meeting entitled ``How to Create Extraordinary Teamwork in Your Office.`` He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Schwitz continues to attend many advanced orthodontic education programs each year to keep him in the forefront of orthodontics. He participated in the prestigious University of Washington Orthodontic Mini-Residency.
