About
A Virginia native, Dr. Patel began her education at Richlands High School in Richlands, VA where she graduated valedictorian of her class. She continued her journey at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. There she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science and graduated with honors. Dr. Patel moved to nearby Richmond, Virginia where she attended the Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Dentistry. She graduated cum laude and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Wishing to gain a greater knowledge of dentistry and to excel at treating a wider population, Dr. Patel pursued a 2-year General Practice Residency at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. Here she met Dr. Chichetti and together they spent 2 years treating the general population, pediatrics, head and neck cancer patients, medically compromised patients, special needs individuals, and working in the operating room and emergency room environments. Dental service and mission became an integral part of their practices.
