About
Dr. Ramos has been in the dental field for more than 30 years first as a dental hygienist for 2 years prior to dental school. She graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1989, where she graduated in the top of her class and served as class president. Dr. Ramos completed the Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program at the University of North Carolina, followed by a Geriatric Fellowship at the Duke University and UNC Program on Aging. Dr. Ramos also taught and practiced Special Care Dentistry at UNC as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Dr. Ramos has practiced in various settings in the Triangle area and began her solo private practice in 1996 in SW Durham. Dr. Ramos is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, Durham/Orange County Dental Society and the Triangle Chapter of the NC Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Ramos currently is a member of a Pankey Affiliated Multidisciplinary Study Club and a Pankey Institute Alumni. Dr. Ramos is devoted to lifelong learning and also belongs to national and local advanced study clubs with Spear Education and the Chapel Hill chapter of the Seattle International Study Club. Dr. Ramos completed (along with staff) the Management for Excellence Program at the Schuster Center for Professional Development.
