Education University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Doctorate of Dental Medicine – Birmingham, AL Continuing Education & Professional Memberships Dr. Gaffos has served as President of four local and regional dental societies and two state organizations, including the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He was elected President of the American Academy of the History of Dentistry in Vienna, Austria, and recently received its highest award, the Hayden Harris Award. He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. He volunteered in the Children's Dental Clinic in Columbia for 25 years and Give Back a Smile in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Life & Hobbies Dr. Gaffos has traveled worldwide visiting over fifty countries and forty states. He is a real estate investor and creator of the Dr. Staci Gaffos Museum of Dental History in Columbia, SC. With all of his professional success, he is most proud of his three children, Katherine, Electra and Nicholas, and his four grandchildren! In his free time, he also enjoys snow-skiing and playing tennis.
