About
Dr. Un Chong (Maxine) Tam came to the United States with her family during high school. After she graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a major in Integrative Biology, Dr Tam headed to State University of New York, Buffalo to purse her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, minor in Pediatrics (treating children) and Periodontics (treating gum disease). She then furthered her residency training in oral surgery and comprehensive dentistry seeing medically compromised patients and emergency cases in Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. Dr. Tam is proud to care for patients in the community she cares much about and decided to relocate to Healdsburg, California after years of practicing in Reno, Nevada and various areas in California. She obtained advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and dental surgeries including minimally invasive wisdom teeth removal and dental implants. Dr. Tam is a recognized Fellowship, Mastership, and Diplomate with the International Dental Implant Association. (Less than 1% of US dentists have this credential.) Dr. Tam highly values in giving back to the society. She has been actively volunteering and has provided over 5 million free surgery-related dental operations to underserved population with her dental group. She now works in Healdsburg, CA at the Healdsburg Dental Spa.
