I don’t recommend this place to anybody. I didn’t really think about reading her reviews before I scheduled an appointment for the first time I’m a ex drug addict and I was so desperate to get my tooth fixed and my teeth cleaned I met her at church and she told me to come in that following Tuesday but I had a chipped tooth and she said she was going to put a temporary crown on and she did I was supposed to go back to get my permanent When I went back she said my insurance hasn’t approved it yet so she cleaned my teeth.

Worst cleaning I ever got my teeth didn’t look any different and my mouth didn’t feel clean like it should after a cleaning throughout my visit she kept telling me how bad my teeth were I was very uncomfortable I didn’t care too much for her so I tried going somewhere else and they said that they couldn’t do anything right now something to do with insurance I’ve tried getting a hold of her several times and nobody ever answers! My gum has literally been in pain and keeps on swelling up. Save yourself the time and bs I 100000% do not recommend her.

⚠️READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE TAKING YOURSELF OR ANYONE ELSE TO THIS DENTIST⚠️Was scared to death of dentists because of a tooth being pulled without me being numb when I was 23 years old. Hadn't been back since. At 44 I knew my teeth were in bad shape but she gave my images a minimal look i was told all of my teeth would have to be removed. Because I do not numb i made an app with an oral surgeon but Dr Adkins said she could make my dentures. A young boy made my impressions with a full mouth of teeth and I had my dentures when I went to have my teeth removed. From what I read, those dentures would have had to be relined over several visits and a 6 month period as my gums healed. I made 2 appointments months apart where I was told by Dr Adkins that my dentures fit which I knew was not right. They would not only not stay in without a full tube of glue but we're also made so wide on the top and bottom that both my jaws and lips protruded out making me look absolutely rediculous.

Because I left a comment for the dentist she replied to me with a very unprofessional reply saying that she offered me a reline at a discounted rate, which she never did. A reline was never ever mentioned. I only saw her for a total of maybe 60 seconds both visits, long enough for her to tell me they fit and to get me out of the office because it was time for them to go home. She never once even touched my dentures in my mouth nor did she take the time to see that my face looked like I was wearing something you buy in a Halloween store. 2 other dentists told me what Dr Adkins had done would be the exact opposite of what they would have been taught in dental school. One of them took it upon herself to close her office and do the 6 month worth of relining Dr Adkins failed to do over a period of 3 hours. She said that they were the worst fitting dentures she had ever seen in both the areas where the gums should have fit and the size of the the dentures themselves. Save yourself alot of time and self respect and do not go to Dr Adkins.

She will do the bare minimum in order to get your funds turned into hers. I went through 6 months of total misery in every aspect of my life because of this woman and if I can save one other person from going through what I did then I will. My dentures were so bad that the dentist that did the reline did what she could to make them fit the best she was able but said I would more than likely not being eat with them because they would still come out due to them being so poorly PPlķlļļļļķǰķķnmn̈n̈. But believe me Dr Adkins does not care the slightest about her patients. I only wish I had read others reviews before I had made the appointment. This woman should really be answering the phones at someone's else's dentist office rather than have her own.

I have never liked or been comfortable in a dental setting, until I found Dr Ruth Adkins. Her and her staff has always made me feel comfortable, at ease and like family. Conversations continue from the prior visit like it was yesterday. From the young to the old everyone is treated and respected the same. I even have a friend that will drive from Louisville just to see her.

11/12/19 Update: If you need a Dentist, contact Dr. Adkins. . this is an amazing team of caring staff. I am usually terrified of the dentist and this is the only one i trust! This is a great staff at Adkins family dentistry.

Dr. Adkins does amazing work! I had to have a few fillings and she was super gentle. I've been coming here for a couple years now. I really like their messaging system to remind you of upcoming appointments. If you need a cleaning, Victoria will get your teeth sparkling! She's the best!
