Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental, officially known as Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI), is a prominent American Dental support organization (DSO) established in 1998. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, ADMI provides comprehensive business, administrative, and marketing support services to a vast network of over 1,100 independently owned and operated Aspen Dental-branded dentistry locations across the United States. This model allows dentists to focus primarily on patient care while ADMI handles the non-clinical aspects of running a practice, such as finance, operations, talent acquisition, and technological support. Aspen Dental's core mission is to expand access to quality, affordable Dental care for a broad range of patients, including those who may not have a regular dental provider or who encounter financial or other obstacles to receiving care. They aim to serve communities, including those identified as "dental deserts" where there's a significant need for dental providers. The services offered at Aspen Dental practices are extensive and designed to cater to diverse oral health needs. These include: General Dentistry: Routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and preventive care. Restorative Dentistry: crowns, bridges, and treatments for various dental issues. Dentures: A wide array of denture options, including full, partial, implant-supported, and repair services, with a focus on affordability. Dental implants: Placement and restoration of dental implants to replace missing teeth. Cosmetic dentistry: teeth whitening, veneers, and Motto® clear aligners for teeth straightening. Oral surgery: Extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and other surgical procedures. Endodontics: root canal therapy. Emergency Dental Care: Prompt treatment for severe toothaches, broken teeth, and other urgent dental needs. Aspen Dental emphasizes a patient-centric approach, aiming to provide care "under one roof" and streamline the patient journey from initial consultation to follow-up. They often offer various financing and insurance options to make dental care more accessible. Beyond patient care, Aspen Dental is known for its "Practice Ownership Program" (POP), launched in 2004. This program empowers dentists to become practice owners within the Aspen Dental network, offering a structured path to ownership and ongoing support for business management. This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit among dental professionals and attract and retain talent. The company also engages in community initiatives, notably the "Healthy Mouth Movement," which provides free dental care to U.S. veterans and underserved individuals. While Aspen Dental aims for widespread accessibility and comprehensive care, it's worth noting that like any large dental provider, patient experiences can vary, and some online reviews highlight concerns regarding billing practices and recommended treatments. However, many patient testimonials praise the accessibility, range of services, and the friendly and professional staff.

I just had my first ,very pleasant appointment at Warrington Aspen Dental. The staff there could not have been nicer. When I walked in the front door the girl at the desk immediately greeted me. Then they called me to the back & did x-rays. She was very nice explained everything. Then she brought me in the room and the dental hygienist came in.

She explained what she would be doing and then the Dentist came in. He explained what he saw on the x-rays. He asked if I was having any problems. He just went over everything and he was just so very kind and nice and then they set up my next appointment. So I had a very pleasant experience!!! And I will be going back.

I am not the type to write a negative review. This may be the first time I have ever written a bad review about a company, but I feel that I have no other choice. On 8/16/24 I received an initial consultation for Motto. (Aspen's version of Invisalign). When I was given the price, I was told that my insurance covered half of the cost. I asked the Aspen employee to double check. She confirmed that the insurance covered half. She emailed me a copy of the insurance coverage showing that the insurance covered half of the cost. I agreed to move forward and paid my portion on a credit card. I was scheduled to come back to do a full scan of my teeth which took place on 8/24/24. The scan was performed, and I was informed that the trays will take a few weeks to arrive. About two months went by and I hadn't heard anything. I called in and was told they didn't know what was taking so long. About a month later I called in again and they still didn't know where the order was. A month or two later and was finally told that they lost my scans and that I would have to come in again. Aspen offered me a credit of $250 to come retake the scans.

I accepted and came in to redo the scans. While I was there redoing the scans, two employees could be overheard talking bad about the women taking my scans. The woman that was being talked about and I could hear everything. It was very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. A week later I received another call stating that they also had to retake the photos AGAIN. It's laughable at this point. I agreed to come back, and they gave me another $100 off. Finally, on 1/8/25 almost 5 full months later, I finally have what I paid for. In May of 2025 I receive a Bill for $1600+ with no explanation as to why with a final notice letter stating they are sending me to collections. 9 Months after my initial visit and I am getting a bill? I called the corporate office who told me that insurance didn't cover it, and I had to pay. Why am I just now hearing about this? I should have been informed that insurance wasn't going to cover it before I ever received the trays. I would not have moved forward if that were the case. I explained everything that happened and also let them know that even if insurance didn't cover the $1250, that their bill was still incorrect. The $350 on my account was a credit due to their mistakes. The person I spoke to said he would submit a ticket and that I needed to call them back in a month to check on the status. Why wouldn't they call me back when it is resolved? I need to follow up with them.

. . I also called the local office on 5/28 at 10:42 am and no one answered. I called again on 5/29 and I spoke with the manager. She told me that she didn't know why insurance didn't cover it and she would resubmit it. A few weeks go by, and I get another call from the corporate office. They say that the bill is correct and that I need to pay. I explain again that it is not correct, and she says that I have additional funds due from a different visit. I told her that I've received nothing stating that and that I paid it that day. She said she would email it to me. Three days later and nothing. I called the local office again that day. (three days ago) The manager was on the phone with someone, and I was told she would call me back. As of today, I haven't heard from anyone. The manager at the local office has been apologetic and nice but the experience I have had has been very poor. What do I do now? Pay an incorrect balance or take a hit on my credit?

Needed an urgent dental repair. Got a quick appointment and was taken care of in two days. Very happy with the result. In addition, dr Tran was very pleasant and efficient. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The office is very clean, professional and comfortable. AAA+++
