I've been a long time patient of Aspire and Dr. Katalin Mechtler (about 10 years now) and have always received the best care that can be provided. In fact, I just got back from another drill n' fill earlier and the quality of the service is always top notch and professional. The staff have always been friendly, informative and HONEST, which is a lot more than I can say about most of my local dental outfits. Dr.

Mechtler is the only one that has worked on me aside from Todd Levine during a root canal. Their appointment scheduling is a little less to be desired, but this facility is where most of the NYSoH insurance owners go (DSS provided insurance), so their scheduling is booked almost a month solid in advance. That's what happens when your local government can't provide jobs, but that's for another time. I would highly recommend Aspire to anyone.

If you are serious about keeping your schedule on point don’t go with them they change and cancel appointments very often without notice. Than act as if it’s your fault. I can assure you this is not an only me problem either. I hear it everytime I bring them up. Do better aspire. All of your locations seem to be garbage

In March I took my 4 year old here for her first ever dentist appointment, they informed me that they have a policy that no one can sit with the child unless they have a disability. I should have taken that as the first red flag. A four year old? By herself? With strangers? I should have pulled her out right there but I was scared that I was overreacting and would make this a negative experience for her. They said they would call me back when the dentist did the final check. By the time they brought me back the dentist was already done. She said “looks good” and walked away and we were pushed out.

Within two months I noticed a spot on my daughter’s back molar. I thought it was food at first but it was a cavity. I’ve been calling and calling around trying to get her in anywhere other than aspire. I finally got her in somewhere and they immediately wanted X-rays. I should have trusted my gut sooner because my daughter has 8 cavities spreading rapidly through all her teeth. They said they noticed them through her thin enamel, they just haven’t broken through yet, they were going for the nerve.

And the last dentist should have noticed this and should have taken X-rays because they aren’t fully visible when just brushing her teeth. My daughter brushes and flosses and uses mouthwash so it not a case of poor dental hygiene. She now is on a waitlist to be sedated and have 8 silver caps put in because it wasn’t caught sooner. Every single person I’ve told this story to has followed up with Aspire being a joke of a dental practice. Their negligence is now effecting a young child’s quality of life.

This place has the absolutely WORST front desk staff. It doesn’t matter who you get they all act like they hate their jobs. Miserable and clearly working in the wrong field.

Just plain rude! The ladies who work on your teeth are amazing though! Can’t say enough things about them. Scheduling/rescheduling an appointment, cancelling an appointment… anything that has to do with the front desk it’s not even worth the headache, I’d look somewhere different. There are plenty of other offices who treat you much nicer… I will be looking for somewhere better!
