I first went to BPDG in 2023 for a teeth cleaning. They immediately suggested I do a consult for Invisalign and a retainer even though I was just in for a cleaning. I brushed it off. Fast forward to today I went in for a “dental emergency. ” I scheduled the appointment last night online because it was after hours and they were closed. I have a really bad canker sore and needed stronger medication than just over the counter stuff. There was a drop down selection to choose the reason for the appointment so I chose “dental emergency. ” I went in and they thought I was there for an Ortho consult. I cleared up the confusion saying I needed the canker sore looked at.

Just by pulling up my chart the front desk woman immediately suggested I schedule a teeth cleaning, even though I had not even been checked for the reason I was there. I got taken back and the doctor spent 5 minutes telling me to gargle with salt water, don’t eat spicy foods, etc. All things I know already as I’ve struggled with these sores for awhile. Finally she prescribed me “magic mouthwash,” that supposedly would numb my mouth for when I eat to take away the pain. She then immediately moves on to mentioning coming back for a cleaning and a consult for Invisalign, even though I had not mentioned being interested in either. I check out and without even asking they just schedule me for both of those appointments (I didn’t feel like arguing and was just going to cancel anyway). An hour later I go to pick up the “magic mouthwash” and the pharmacy tells me they don’t have it and that it needs to be called into a “compounding pharmacy,” and that the dentist should’ve called me to let me know. I got no phone call from the dentist. I called them and it took 3 different people on the phone to figure out what happened.

At the end I think I was finally speaking with the doctor and she told me that I needed to find a compounding pharmacy on my own. I was taken a back that I needed to handle this myself. They should’ve found the closest compounding pharmacy to my location and let me know. Secondly, I asked her what a “compounding pharmacy” means and she “didn’t know. ” The doctor did not know. I now still have my pain, wasted my time, and have no medication. LONG STORY SHORT THIS OFFICE IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH SELLING THEIR PATIENTS EXTRA PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. THEY DO NOT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AND THEIR CONCERNS, ONLY $$$$.

I have been coming here for the last few years, and it never feels like a doctor's visit - more like seeing a friend. You are welcomed by an amazing and experienced staff.

The teeth cleaning is quick and painless. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Most importantly, every work done by the doctors and assistants is truly flawless. I had my wisdom tooth extraction and other oral surgeries done here and those were the least stressful experiences in my life!
