Yassa the hygienist was awesome. She made me feel comfortable, was extremely knowledgeable and she took her time. The doctor saw me for 5 minutes which was perfectly fine with me.

The person at the front desk was also very knowledgeable about my insurance and broke down how future appointments and payment/pricing would work. Definitely would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I stopped going here for two reasons: 1) The dentist didn't believe me when I told him the filling he was doing hurt. I had never had a cavity before, so I had no idea what it was "supposed" to feel like (nothing!). It was awful. I now have to go to a dentist that provides nitrous oxide because I have panic attacks before getting a filling. 2) During my last cleaning at this office, the dental tech told me I have a lot of acid erosion on my back teeth.

So she asked me if I was bulimic. When I said no, she INSISTED. "Are you SURE you're not bulimic?" and kept telling me, "It's ok, you don't have to lie, you can tell me!" At least four times. When I remembered this incident recently and told my new dentist, she was HORRIFIED. "She shouldn't have asked you that in the first place," she said.

"Besides, your erosion is on the bottom teeth, not the top. It's probably silent reflux. " Went to my GP and yep, it is acid reflux. The dentist at BK Family Dental has a gentle demeanor but I will never go back.

First of all I must say I decided to use Myrtle family dental my experience wasn’t the greatest first the had me waiting as on person told me my insurance was approved only to find out it wasn’t . I waited and gave them a second chance went back . y appointment was 11 there was an accident on the road I advise I was gonna be 20 mins late . The rep said the Dr would still see me . I arrived 11:39 and told them I’m ok with rescheduling if there was a problem. After wanting on the hygienist he started clean my teeth this was supposed to be a deep cleaning .

He literally took 5 mins to clean my teeth and them told me to wash my mouth out . Not sure if I’m gonna go back this place . Better if I was rescheduled and get a proper clean than hurry me just because you want insurance money. Was not pleased with the cleaning of the other side of my mouth.

Wow I was blown away by this place! I am afraid of the dentist and hate going so it was a year since my last cleaning. Dr. Terry was so funny and personable, he made me feel completely comfortable and helped me make a plan to take better care of my teeth.

He also got a cleaning, X-rays and two fillings done in about 40 mins. It was also very clean, no wait time and affordable compared to some of the other places in NYC. I will 100% be back here and would recommend this place to anyone!
