Detailed Introduction

Cleveland Avenue Dental Center is a public health dental clinic situated at 501 N Cleveland Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. It operates as a vital component of the Forsyth County Department of Public Health, dedicated to providing accessible and comprehensive dental care to residents of Forsyth County and surrounding areas. The clinic serves a diverse patient base, catering to both children and adults. Its mission includes ensuring that quality dental services are available to all, regardless of their financial circumstances. To achieve this, Cleveland Avenue Dental Center accepts various insurance plans, including Medicaid, NC Health Choice, and Ameritas. Furthermore, for self-pay patients, a sliding fee scale is available, determined by household income, to make services more affordable. Payment for services is generally due at the time of the visit. Cleveland Avenue Dental Center offers a wide array of dental services designed to meet a broad spectrum of oral health needs. These services include: Preventive Care: Comprehensive and periodic exams with necessary x-rays, prophylaxis (routine cleanings), full mouth debridement, scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), sealants to prevent cavities, and fluoride varnish applications. Restorative Treatments: Silver and white-colored fillings for cavities, crowns for full tooth coverage, partial dentures to replace missing teeth, and complete dentures for those missing all teeth. Specialized Procedures: Extractions (simple and surgical), and root canal treatments for infected or damaged teeth. Patient Comfort: Nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," is offered to anxious patients to ensure a more comfortable experience. The clinic maintains specific policies to ensure efficient operations and patient care, such as a 24-working-hour notice for appointment cancellations to avoid "broken appointment" penalties (after two such instances, a patient may be dismissed from the practice) and a policy for late arrivals (patients more than 10 minutes late may be rescheduled). A $4 co-pay is required for NC Medicaid and NC Health Choice patients aged 21 and over. Cleveland Avenue Dental Center aims to provide a caring and compassionate environment, with staff dedicated to ensuring a pleasant dental experience for all patients. Its commitment to community health is evident in its accessibility and the range of services provided.

I have been a dental hygienist and a patient at this clinic. They are nothing short of a blessing to Winston-Salem. The employees genuinely care for the patients and the dentist is outstanding. Dr. Stanton is an excellent dentist and I still refer patients to her. Lauren, Loretta and Mckenzie are so kind, caring and patient. Kia works hard behind the scenes to ensure patient equality and quality care. Give these folks some patience when it comes to serving the community.

. . . They are overbooked most of the time and getting every patient in treatment and answering phone calls is a challenge when you are understaffed and overwhelmed with demand. Kudos to y'all. Keep rockin'.

New review 11/29/21 The dentist here is amazing. She is very compassionate and gentle. She really cares about her patients. I did have a not so pleasant experience with the hygienist. I'm not sure if her name but she has blonde hair.

She was quick, rough and very blah. My teeth are very tight and if she couldn't get the floss in with one push she just moved to the next one. She didn't even polish or floss my teeth correctly. I know I can do these things at home but it's the point of the matter.

Hi since I have been going when I was fifty my first tooth was extraction went through all the treatment extraction, cleaning,filling,X-ray,deep cleaning for gum treatment till this year . Bad thing is their policyKia I didn't have two missed appointments your office staff called me on or before the 14 of this month I was scheduled for three fillings they called me on the 14 to reschedule the time from 3:30 to four I confirm it ask Kenzie or the staff who called me okayi came down with a very very bad cold called Ed on the apt da on the 19th I know it wasn't 24 hours but i felt really bad and dwelling mom death i came the next day on time was turned away till next year .

I only missed one appt this time back from being banned i know i kept my promise when i came back last time they said i wad a no show . My point is to the other patients you don't follow the policy rules you are banned from the office for one year like I am now it's August I don't go back till next year August.

Anyway I don't care! I already have found another office to go to Have not made appointment but I will be I'm not coming back next year no way get banned again. To all the other patients Rosa Rampa
