Quick and effective. Easy to set up an appointment and get them put on next day! Happy that I chose Davis Family Orthodontist for mine and my daughter’s braces.

As a parent, there’s nothing more frustrating than watching your child go through a difficult and disappointing experience—especially when it involves their health and well-being. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened with this orthodontic office. We chose this provider hoping for professional, attentive care for our child. From the very first consultation, things felt off. The orthodontist barely spoke to us, offered no real explanation of the treatment plan, and didn’t seem particularly engaged or interested in our questions or concerns. It felt rushed and transactional—like we were just another number. Once the braces were on, the problems only escalated.
My child experienced constant discomfort, and brackets kept coming off repeatedly. When we brought this up, the staff dismissed it as “normal. ” However, other parents I’ve spoken to said this wasn’t their experience at all. Appointments were short, impersonal, and often handled almost entirely by assistants with little oversight. There was also very poor communication throughout the entire process. We rarely received updates or explanations about progress, and when we tried to get clarity, we were met with vague responses or defensiveness. At one point, we noticed that our child’s teeth were shifting in an unusual way that didn’t seem right—but once again, our concerns were brushed off.
What hurts the most is how discouraged this made my child feel. Something that was supposed to improve their confidence ended up making them feel self-conscious and anxious instead. Now, after all the time, money, and emotional stress, we are left considering getting a second opinion to fix issues that should have never occurred in the first place. If you’re a parent looking for someone to truly care for your child’s orthodontic needs, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Choose a provider who listens, explains things clearly, and genuinely prioritizes patient care.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid the same mistakes I made. My time with this orthodontist has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. From the beginning, the consultation felt rushed. I was given a quick overview of the treatment plan with little explanation or opportunity to ask questions. It seemed more like a sales pitch than a personalized plan for my dental health. Once treatment began, things only got worse. Appointments were often overbooked, leading to long wait times and very short visits with the orthodontist.
Adjustments were made hastily, and communication about progress was minimal. I rarely saw the actual orthodontist—mostly assistants handled everything, and it felt very impersonal. The braces were poorly managed. At one point, brackets kept popping off, and I was told it was “normal,” yet I’ve spoken with others who had far more stable experiences elsewhere. I also noticed my teeth shifting in odd ways that didn’t align with the initial treatment plan. When I raised concerns, they were brushed off or explained away without any effort to actually address them. Now, after all this time and money, my teeth are not in the condition I was promised.
My bite feels off, and some teeth seem more misaligned than before. I’ll likely have to seek a second opinion and possibly more treatment to correct the mistakes. Orthodontics is a serious investment—not just financially, but in terms of your health and confidence. I strongly recommend doing thorough research, reading reviews, and asking detailed questions before committing to a provider. I wish I had.
