I needed two extractions before I start Invisalign in two weeks. Back in December, I tried making an appointment with my regular dentist but the earliest date I could schedule for was the end of January. My dentist was able to extract one of two but the other tooth would be a bit more difficult so he wanted to refer me to an oral surgeon instead. Long story short, the oral surgeon wanted to charge me $625 for the whole procedure and I wasn't willing to pay for that unless it was my last resort. I was scrambling for options since I wanted to heal before starting Invisalign and time was running out. My boyfriend goes to Fort Hamilton Dental and out of desperation I asked him if he could contact them, explain my situation, and see if they would be able to do the extraction. I have heard him say nothing but good things about Dr. Ouzidane so I was a little hopeful. I was told to send X-rays and the doctor would see if it would be possible. I sent the email on a Wednesday and hadn't heard back by Friday, which was making me nervous.

My boyfriend texted their office and they responded saying that they were going to reach out on Monday and that the doctor said he is able to do the extraction. I was elated but worried because this office is quite busy and getting appointments could be difficult. On Monday, my boyfriend spoke to the front desk receptionist at around 11:30am and they left off with the receptionist saying she will call back if there are any availabilities due to cancellations but to take what I can get since availabilities are uncertain. By 3pm she called back and said there was an opening the next day so I was able to grab that appointment. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Ouzidane, the office, and the staff. They are all so amazing, kind, compassionate, and understanding. They really try their best for you and I am forever grateful that I was able to get the extraction done in time and didn't have to go to an oral surgeon. If I didn't live an hour away, I would be coming here instead from now on. The office is incredibly clean, smells great, and the chair is actually pretty comfortable to be in.

I used to have extreme dental anxiety that has greatly lessened throughout the years but of course, I'm always going to have a little bit. Coming here, it was practically non-existent. The extraction was super smooth and quick. Dr. Ouzidane said I was going to feel a lot of pressure, even more than my other extraction due to the position of the tooth and him not being able to use pliers so I was really bracing myself. I felt little to nothing and next thing I knew, he told me to bite down and that was that. I didn't even know that he had already finished and that the tooth was out. Dr. Ouzidane made me feel super safe and comfortable since the moment I met him and honestly, that's super important. I could not recommend this place enough! Thank you so much for all the help and doing what you could for me on such a short notice!
