I saw Dr. Levy for years and he was wonderful! However the new dentist that took over after his retirement is predatory. They told me I needed six crowns when I came in. I had seen Dr. Levy a month prior, so I knew that was not the case.
They also told me that I had to pay directly and be reimbursed by my insurance. I was very clear that I needed to know the amount I would be reimbursed for the services, and we discussed the numbers before work was done. However, they grossly underestimated the money I would receive back from the insurance company. This is because the prices of the new dentist have more than doubled since Dr. Levy, and the insurance would not cover that high of costs.
Even though my insurance will pay 90% of a filling cost, they charge such an exorbitant amount that I ended up paying over $350 for a filling with insurance coverage. They billed for more than twice the maximum allowance. Again, I discussed costs before I had this work done, and was told it would be just over $100. I am not returning to this dentist.

Dr. Belfar is wonderful. She's warm, contentious, and highly skilled. I deeply appreciate how communicative she is. I recently had some fillings and she took the time to explain what happening at every step of the way, stopping to check in regularly to ensure I was comfortable.
I trust that she has my best interest in mind. I was a longtime patient of Dr. Levy and I'm glad to know that Dr. Belfar is continuing his practice with the same care and dedication that has kept me coming back for years.

Belfer took the time to thoroughly review my X-rays and explain my treatment plan in detail. I truly felt heard—something that’s rare in a dental office. She also saved me from an unnecessary and costly procedure recommended by another dentist. I highly recommend her!

I had an excellent experience at my recent dental appointment for a check-up X-ray and cleaning with doctor Elle B. The office was clean, modern, and welcoming, with a beautiful view of Central Park! And the staff made me feel comfortable right from the moment I walked in. The dentist was thorough and explained everything in detail, ensuring I understood my teeth' condition. The doctor did a fantastic job during cleaning procedure —my teeth felt fresh and smooth afterward, and there was no discomfort.
I also appreciate how they took the time to answer my questions about oral care and wisdom teeth. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality dental care!
