I had just started seeing Dr. Felber at Gentle Dental and he’s by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to ! I have extreme anxiety going to the dentist due to bad past experience! I would go in shaking like a leaf ! He always made me feel comfortable and was very patient with me ! All the assistants are very nice as well, but Desiree is the best ! Both Dr.
Felber and Desiree have both gone above and beyond and I couldn’t be more thankful !

BEWARE: Rude, Dishonest, and Completely Unprofessional I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience with Gental Dental in Lyndhurst, NJ was so outrageous that I feel obligated to warn others. Back in early 2024, I went in for a consultation, and the dentist recommended a crown for my implant. He took measurements, and we scheduled a follow-up appointment. However, the very next day, I changed my mind, called the office, cancelled the appointment, and specifically told them not to send anything to the lab. The staff confirmed the cancellation over the phone. Still unsure, I proactively contacted my insurance provider to explain what happened and asked them to cancel any pending authorizations for Gental Dental — except for that single initial visit.
Fast forward over a year later, and I receive a letter from a collections agency for $1,800+ claiming I owe Gental Dental for a crown that I never received. When I called the clinic to dispute it, they falsely claimed the crown was done, even though I never set foot in that office again after the first visit. They said they would "check with the doctor and call me back" — of course, no one ever did. Today, when I followed up, the front desk staff was shockingly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They repeatedly spoke over me, refused to listen, and ultimately told me to “deal with the collections agency” . No apology, no accountability, and zero professionalism.
Not only is the office outdated and the staff consistently rude, but what they’re doing is flat-out dishonest. They tried to bill my insurance for a procedure that was never done, and when the claim was denied (as it should’ve been), they turned around and sent me to collections — hoping I wouldn’t fight it. It’s appalling that a dental practice — especially one run by a doctor who’s supposedly close to retirement — would stoop to this level of greed and deception. This is not just bad service; it’s unethical and predatory behavior. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

I lost a crown and neglected to put it back on for about 6 months. Typically there would be way too much shifting at that point to put it back on, but they were able to adjust the crown and my tooth enough to put the same crown back on saving me the cost and time of getting a new one made! I was not expecting this outcome and was ready to dash out hundreds of dollars, as I would have had this been any other dentist. Very good and honest work.
They’re not trying to just make a buck off of you, and actually care about doing the right thing that is right for you. I am very glad to have found this dentist.
