I’ve hated dentists my whole life. It was until I started going to gentle dental touch that everything changed. I was treated literally like family. Well mannered, polite staff that work very diligently to fix my teeth. Now my whole family goes there and they love them also!

I chose this office based on proximity to my house. I called and left a message. No one returned my call within a week so I called back and made an appointment as a new client. I asked reception if my insurance was accepted there. She said it was but warned me to double check with my insurance directly bc they had had some issues with other clients who ended up owing out of pocket. I thanked her and immediately called my insurance who verified that I had coverage. I called Gentle Dental back and let reception know I had verified coverage. The appointment was for three weeks out.

On the day of the appointment I arrived early to fill out forms. I then sat in the waiting room while other people were called back, even people who had been there after me. Then reception came back in and informed me that the dentist would not be taking my insurance and I could not be seen. I run a small local business. Customer service is very important to me. When things go wrong, I am the one to speak to clients and make every effort to fix things for them. So I do not feel I was given good customer service by this business. I understand that health insurance is in chaos right now and things are ever changing.

But if I call and ask if you take my insurance, and you tell me you do, I should not have to wait for weeks until the day of my appointment to be told that they have changed their mind that very day. How important do you think that makes a new customer think you feel their time is? Not at all. And most of us carve out time very sparingly in our busy lives to make medical appointments. I also think that the dentist herself should have come out to tell me in person and give me a bit more explanation. Reception could also have helped me find a referral to someone who does take my insurance. All in all, a terrible experience.
