Myself and my children have been going their for some years now. The place is like a revolving door. At onetime they had some really good dentists and surgeons. But it seems like they are changing dentists to often for my taste. Not to mention my son needed a filling(his first) and was traumatized and never wants to go back to the dentist.
And their periodontitis is also questionable. And the facility is dirty as well. I would think twice about coming here. Unfortunately they are one of the few that accept crap dental insurance, but you get what you pay for.

I was very nervous going in and I explained that to the dentist. He reassured me not to worry . During the procedure he explained step by step as he was going along. He was very kind considerate and understanding . I felt absolutely no pain. The receptionist were very pleasant and i did not wait long to be called in.

I bring my 3 kids to the new facility of Howell Family Dentist, in Lakewood, NJ New office is very nice and clean. The staff is quit busy yet- . . . . . . STAFF at the front desk- Very nice and friendly.
Calling for appointments by my experience- I have gotten in pretty quick. The Dentist- I like him great with my kids- friendly- takes his time to explain treatment needed for my kids. Dental back office staff also : Always friendly, helpful- caring. . . . great with the kids. All in all I would recommend my friends or anyone to HOWELL FAMILY DENTIST! Happy Mom

I got a root canal here years ago, and it was a living nightmare. They kept cancelling my appointments and not telling me until I physically walked into the office and delayed putting on the crown for over a month, which took them two tries. Every subsequent dentist I've ever been to has told me what a butchered job they did on my tooth. About a month ago, I got a huge abscess on my gums and was told that the root canal filling and the crown both hadn't been placed correctly, and the root canal hadn't even been completed.
On top of that, every interaction with the office staff was a hassle. At one point, she called my emergency contact and divulged medical information to them, without my consent, while I was sitting in the office waiting room. When I asked her why she called them, she just shrugged. She was also incapable of correctly inputting my insurance information.
I was paying out of pocket and eventually stopped reminding her of it. I don't know who's insurance paid for my root canal, but it wasn't mine.
