Start off by saying this is an excellent office. The wait times are non existent. You sit down after checking in and are usually called within minutes. On top of that, everyone is friendly and they don't rush you. I purchased Invisalign through them and the process couldn't have been easier. What I especially like is they remind you several times (without annoyance) about your appt via text and for someone like me who is extremely forgetful, this is a bonus.

. . . I also used them for my recent cleaning and again, it was the best experience I've had in a dental office. Highly recommend them

the dentist and dental assistant were nice and set me up for a emergency root canal with another doctor but the ladies at the front desk handed me the card for the wrong office which happened to be on the opposite side of the island from where i was supposed to be and the only response they gave me was “we didn’t have cards for the actual office you were supposed to go to so that’s probably why we gave you that one. ” yet these women never told me the correct office to be at. i called back and she was able to cancel my appointment and while on the phone with me the woman was talking about her lunch with someone else.

My family and I have been going to Leprechaun since I was a child. We have had a few mishaps here and there and continued using them as they were in network with our insurance and we attested it to the nature of our specific tooth problems. However, recently my mother has switched her dentist and realized that the care we recieved at this office is poor. Their office staff is not friendly the least bit. As a Medical Office Manager myself, I would have addressed the atittudes of all of their receiptionists and ensured immediate change with how they have been described in other reviews. They do not look at you when you arrive - even if they are busy with a task, we have trained our staff to always ackowledge the patient checking-in in front of you and let them know that you'll be a second; its just proper manners and professionalism. They do not verify a patients first name or DOB when checking you in or out, which is setting them up for a HIPAA violation if they haven't encountered one already. The next issue is that they have no care for a patients time.

I understand wait times and that things can happen. Of my three most recent visits, I waited 45 minutes to be seen one time, and today I was told that the doctor would be arriving at 10:33, and she had two 10AM patients waiting for her. I was her 10:30 patient and was told that she would not be able to see me by 11AM, nor would I be able to return to work by 12PM. As I was waited, a man checked in and the receiptionist was trying to verify his insurance. He kept insisting that he did not have a certain insurance. The receiptionist began yelling at him that he did, and then and only then did she verify his first and last name and DOB. The patient did confirm that the insurance in their system was his wifes, however, there is no reason that anyone should be speaking to a patient that way. Dr Papapietro is a very kind dentist, but unfortunately, I don't believe she was providing the best care either.

I received a filling in October 2024, and continued to experience sensitivty where I couldn't drink or eat food above a warm temperature on that side, or eat anything sweet. I set up another appointment in January 2025 and she stated that this was a result of how large the filling would be, and would reassess at my cleaning later in a few weeks. At my cleaning, she kindly removed the filling and placed a temporary one and told me to return in to weeks to reevaluate, remove the temp and refill the tooth. That is what I returned for at todays visit, and ultimately had another very poor experience. I will be seeking care elsewhere.
