This was my first visit to Lumber River Dental and Dr. Walker and her staff are AMAZING!! The whole office has a very calming atmosphere. I have a serious case of odontophobia, which is a condition depicting an irrational and overwhelming fear of dentistry. And it is a very REAL fear for many people. In my case, this is usually what I experience. . . my heart races, I get anxious and light-headed, sometimes I even get physically ill, and I have been known to faint. However, Dr. Walker and her staff (Deidra) made me feel very at ease and, trust me, that's a big accomplishment.
They are so very kind and gentle and understanding. Some people think that I'm just being silly because of the way I react, but not Dr. Walker or Deidra (I keep mentioning Deidra because she was the one assisting Dr. Walker). During my whole procedure, they kept asking if I was ok and Deidra even patted my shoulder. . . she was so very sweet. I have never ever experienced such amazing treatment as I did with Dr. Walker.
I had two extractions and they were pretty tough to get out, but she was very gentle and I wasn't even too sore the next day. She even called me the next day to make sure that I was ok. Another of the MANY things that I LOVE about Dr. Walker is this little tool she uses when she gives the numbing injections. It's called a Dental Vibe and it vibrates the gum as she's giving the injections. I was a bit skeptical (odontophobia) at first, but it REALLY does work! Usually the dentist will put a gel on your gums to numb it before the injections. I never did like that stuff because it also made my throat numb and I was afraid I was going to choke because I couldn't feel my throat (odontophobia). I absolutely love the way the Dental Vibe works because there is no nasty-tasting gel or numbing of my throat. It is awsome! So if anyone out there is wondering about going to Dr. Walker for the first time, go ahead and schedule that appointment! It will be the best dental care you have ever experienced! I promise you!!

They owed me a refund twice. The first time they would not give me my whole refund. They are nice until they realize they owe you money back. So. . . .
now I came in for the rest of my refund the girls at the desk were very rude so. . . . for that being said I was told that I woukd have to wait for the dentist to write me a check and that she was with patients so i said ok i will wait but it sure is funny that the exact one that told me that wrote me the check the first time.
