I was told I won 2k off an orthodontic treatment in a raffle I filled out at a carnival… I then decided (at the age of 37) to fix an old baby tooth problem I had with this great opportunity. So I signed up for Invisalign, 4 weeks later I pulled my baby tooth and started the journey to close the gap where the now missing tooth is. I was told everything was going to be great, online appointments, take pictures on the Invisalign app… blah blah. It’s so easy. . I have 4 kids, work a full time job… I missed a virtual appointment - which, mind you, is essentially a “duplicate” appointment with the dental office if you consider how it’s in addition to the Invisalign app that you’re supposed to be taking weekly pictures on. These pictures also come with feedback… so, having an additional appointment seems to just be unnecessary. Or so I thought… because a couple weeks/months (I don’t know, honestly) later I get a CERTIFIED LEETER in the mail stating Minnesota Orthodontics would no longer continue their (PAID UPFRONT) services with me because I was not following through with my scheduled appointments.

I was like… excuse me. I was literally just told on the app, that my aligners looked good - continue as planned. At no time was it ever explained to me the “value” of the duplicate appointments. Nor was it EVER emphasized, that if I didn’t go to the”duplicate appointments” I would be terminated from their treatment team. This was pretty mind blowing to me that this place would collect money up front, have you sign some “fine print” and basically have NO problem with just dropping their commitment to you like it’s some routine thing that they do to their patients. It was honestly such a disgusting feeling getting a certified letter for such a petty problem - especially without any warning this would be the next step. It’s like when you get screwed over by the storm damage sales guy. The ol’ Bait and switch if you can understand that.

So, although my initial experience with them was great. I’m very disappointed in the outcome. Evidently now I’m supposed to pay a fine (a fee) to have my treatment transferred to some other random orthodontist who will consider accepting me. Then from there… I would imagine I will have to pay them for each of my “already paid for” appointments that I’m apparently being screwed out of now. Un-effing-believable… Buyer beware.

I highly recommend MN Orthodontics in Rogers. Dr. Del Mastro and staff are very friendly and so easy to work with and answer all my questions. My kids have had great experiences with invisalign and braces and their teeth/smiles show it all.

I’ve had a great experience here over the past 2 or so years! Made everything super easy and the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. So thankful that Minnesota Orthodontics - Rogers were able to accommodate my needs. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a comfortable orthodontic environment:) -Tiana
