I can’t recommend Hudson Street Dental enough! From the moment I walked in, the friendly and welcoming staff made me feel at ease. I enjoyed the experience except for the x rays. The clinician who performed my x-rays was extremely rude and lacked social skills for a client facing role. My cleaning was thorough and the Dentist was very nice. They gave me a free electronic toothbrush which was very kind and unexpected!

The office was clean and the staff were nice, but I don’t think I’ll be going back. I booked this appointment weeks in advance through Zocdoc with a specific dentist I had researched. When I showed up for my 5:15 Friday appointment, I was told it started at 5—which was fine, since I was early—but I wasn’t seen by the doctor I selected. No one mentioned the change ahead of time, and when I brought it up, I was told, “Oh, he never comes in,” like it wasn’t a big deal. If that’s the case, I’m not sure why he’s listed as available.

I also noted in my intake that I have a lot of fear around the dentist. The hygienist told me, “It’s not brain surgery—just relax,” which, unsurprisingly, didn’t help. When the dentist I hadn’t chosen came in, she was kind, but when I asked about next steps, she said, “We can do whatever you want. ” I was looking for professional advice—not to steer the care myself. It just felt like no one was really engaged in the process.

The whole visit had the vibe of a place trying to wrap up the week. It was 5pm on a Friday, and it showed. It’s in a convenient location and might work fine for someone who doesn’t have dental anxiety or need consistent care—but for me, it wasn’t the right fit.
