I have been a patient of Dr. Bryant’s for approximately 15 years. He is honest, always cheerful, detailed oriented, and always concerned with the well-being of the patient. He and his staff are almost like relatives to me because they know that I will back every six months.

I genuinely don't think I've ever left a bad review for a business but after much disbelief at seeing only five star reviews, I do have many thoughts to share. Out of my four visits, I’ve had to wait twice for approximately 45 minutes past my appointment time. The waiting room was always a mess with employees gossiping at the front desk loudly about “people farting in an airbnb trip they took” or Judge Judy blasting on the tv. I got double charged $70 for a co-pay several months after an appointment with no apology or acknowledgment of why the error happened which seemed like such a poor reflection of baseline customer service. And above all there were consistent passive aggressive comments.

Initial comments came from the dental assistant remarking on my medication disclosure of birth control talking about “pitfalls of birth control” and how “children are such a blessing. ” In my most recent appointment literally she gave me an “up and down” look, then remarked on my pet hair covered sweater, and was not welcoming or kind—it made me feel so small. As for when I finally saw the dentist himself, I did not feel comfortable in his chair with the constant comments calling me a “young lady. ” If it was once or twice, I wouldn’t bat an eye but it was so incessant (and albiet frustrating because I highly doubt he was calling grown men in his office “young lads”) and after finally pointing out I was almost thirty with a spouse and a career, his only response was “bless your heart” several times which felt so demeaning and condescending. He remarked on the shoes I was wearing, he remarked on where I was from (I am from VA and his immediate response was “I hate VA, your drivers are the worst” then shared how he got a speeding ticket of 85mph in a 65mph zone), commented on my dry lips and smeared vaseline all over my face instead of a gentle application that could have taken all of two seconds, and failed to provide any feedback on my dental health unless explicitly asked.

I literally do not have enough space in the review to share all the details I would like to but ultimately I wish I did not trust any of the five star reviews I read prior. The small micro-aggressions and added up; from the almost an hour wait, poor upkeep of the waiting room, errant extra charges, to the passive aggressive comments from both the assistant and the dentist and the unfriendly front desk personnel—all truly just consistently awful customer service. Its hard to advocate for yourself in a setting with someones hands in your mouth, and as a military spouse who has bounced around so much I’ve seen all kinds of service and my policy was just keep my head down and let the work be done, but this review is my one opportunity to speak frankly and I will be cancelling my next cleaning and never be coming back. I’d rather fight with Tricare and drive several miles further to a different dental location than deal with this place again.

This is by far my favorite dentist I've ever been to. Everyone there is so kind and good at their job. As someone who usually dreads going to the dentist they do a wonderful job of making me feel at ease. Highly recommend this practice.

I usually hate going to the dentist. So much so i just wont go. Dr. Bryant has made me feel so comfortable and explains everything so well that i have been 3 times this year to date and scheduled to go back. He definitely makes it a safe space and i wont go to any other dentist.
