Detailed Introduction

Pine Dentistry & Braces is a network of dental clinics dedicated to providing comprehensive oral healthcare services for the entire family. With multiple locations across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C., they aim to make quality dental care convenient and accessible. Their core services encompass general dentistry, including routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and preventive care. A significant area of their expertise lies in pediatric dentistry, where their team is specially trained to create a positive and comfortable experience for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. They emphasize early dental care and education to foster a lifetime of healthy smiles. Beyond general dentistry, Pine Dentistry & Braces offers a robust orthodontics program. This includes traditional braces and clear aligners (such as Reveal Clear Aligners), catering to both adolescents and adults seeking to correct misaligned teeth and bite issues. They provide complimentary orthodontic consultations and offer flexible payment options, including accepting Medicaid and various insurance plans, as well as a discount dental plan for those without insurance. Oral surgery services are also available, addressing more complex dental needs. The clinics are designed to be kid-friendly, aiming to reduce dental anxiety and instill confidence in young patients. They focus on prevention, educating patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practices. Pine Dentistry & Braces is an official partner of Benevis and Kool Smiles, indicating a commitment to family-focused dental care. While striving for excellent patient experiences, it's worth noting some past complaints related to responsiveness to the Better Business Bureau, which the company acknowledges on its profile. Despite this, their primary goal remains to provide compassionate and effective dental treatment for all individuals.

Everyone in there was so nice and very welcoming. My son was so comfortable and brave. They made him feel so relaxed. He got work done on his mouth and afterwards he was doing amazing.

He never complained of pain, he only had a little discomfort for about an hour but I gave him meds and he was ready for school in two days. They called to check on him a day later which was so awesome. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone.

The dentist was extremely rude to his staff (the dental assistants) & treated both me and my Child with a hostile attitude, which made my child very uncomfortable. It was upsetting to see such unprofessional behavior, especially right in front of patients. Last year he was not like this, so something has clearly changed. I don't remember his name, but he has a slick combover hairstyle — you'll probably know who he is. I would strongly suggest avoiding him.

I do want to say the dental assistants were wonderful — very kind, patient, and professional. They clearly work hard to make patients feel comfortable!! even under difficult circumstances. I truly feel for them. I am reporting the dentist's behavior because no one — staff or patients — should have to deal with that. 😕😕😕

There were two dentists in the office we saw which were very sweet and thorough, but overall we had horrible experiences here. One dental hygienist got upset and yelled at our son because he didn't like the taste of the sealants and wanted them to stop. We tried to work through it, but the hygienist eventually refused to do them and made us set up another appointment to come back and have them done by someone else. That person had zero problems and was very sweet. Another time we had to wait for over 2 hours for two of our kids who were having work done before we even saw the dentist. We were supposed to have them done at different times so I could be with them both. That didn't happen because they were running so far behind, one kid who had a tooth pulled wasn't numbed properly and felt the whole thing because the dentist rushed. I came in to him crying.

That was one of the most frustrating things too you very rarely saw the same dentist twice. Since then we moved out of state it has been an absolute nightmare for us and our new dental office to get our records. I have been trying for over six weeks and all they do is send us to the call center, take a message, and no one calls back. I've faxed, emailed, had multiple people at the call center try to reach the office, filled out a records request, and even had our new dental office try. The one time I actually could reach the Hagerstown office, they promised the records would be sent the next day. It's been several weeks now. Our new office has had zero luck as well. They leave a message with the call center for the office and no one ever calls back.

The call center also tries to reach the office and never has any luck. Basically there is zero way to actually reach anyone other than to schedule an appointment. If you want an office that actually takes care of your child like an individual and not a number this is not the practice because this office has way too high of a patient volume. And just forget about it if you ever want to get a copy of your child's dental records and you don't live locally. It's been hours at this point on the phone and I still can't get anyone to call me back. There have been two very helpful people at the call center who went above and beyond to try to reach the office several times, and they couldn't even get through after multiple attempts.

This place was amazing and extremely kind. I have a daughter who just turned four and we only recently moved up here so it is a new dentist. Her past appointments that we had where we used to live would scare her and was hard. Pine dentistry was absolutely amazing with her. Before the appointment there was paperwork explaining how they operate.

I was blown away by them not only following what the paperwork said, but with seeing how they went above and beyond to make my daughter feel safe and laugh at the DENTIST. The room where the patients go is open but there was no evidence of dirty or unorganized works. I 10/10 recommend this place and even tho the bad comments are about their open room, it was absolutely no problem. Thank you so much Pine Dentistry and your staff. We will definitely stick with you❤️❤️
