I have had the best dental hygienist the last two times I’ve been here. This business has been very accommodating of my schedule changes and everyone has been pleasant and kind. Highly recommend this office!

I broke my tooth suddenly and SDC was the only dentist able to fit me in on such short notice, which I was very grateful for. However, the experience was not great. The first dentist I saw did all the diagnostics and exam then told me I needed a root canal. I was able to get in the following week with a different doctor. The second doctor told me my tooth had to come out and a root canal would not work. Why did the first doctor tell me I could get a root canal? I’m concerned about that but at this point I’m in too much pain to get another opinion so I just went with the extraction as recommended, but I’m worried my tooth could have been saved (the extraction was much more expensive than the root canal so more $ for them). I have never had an extraction before. And they could tell by the tears in my eyes I was nervous but every staff member I interacted with was cold. Just another day for them. Extraction was painful, to be expected. After it was finished, I was handed a one page “discharge” note that stated the medication instructions and the proper way to care for it.

That was it. No one went over it with me, no one asked if I had any questions, no one explained what to expect. They took my money, scheduled a suture removal for a month later, and I left. I got most of my answers from google on what to expect. My husband went to the pharmacy to pick up the antibiotic and steroid prescribed. The pharmacist told him those two medications prescribed absolutely cannot be taken together. I was told to take them together. Are you kidding me? What would have happened if my pharmacist did not say anything? I ended up only taking the antibiotic, not the steroid. Fast forward 3 weeks later - my sutures started to come out on their own. The suture removal should have been scheduled for 2 weeks later, not a month. Now, a little over a month later, the site started to bother me.

My husband looked in my mouth and said it was white. I sent a photo/video to my cousin who is a hygienist and she told me it looks like a “membrane” but it should have been removed a week ago which is why it’s bothering me. No one EVER said anything to me at all about a membrane, let alone one that needed to be removed. I called the clinic to confirm. All Ashley told me was they should have told me about that. She was so cold and careless, sounded like I was bothering her. Typically doctors offices reach out to check on you after a procedure, to make sure you’re okay and see how things are going. They make this clinic look so fancy and top of the line on the website, but they really don’t seem to be.
