Detailed Introduction

The Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics is a distinctive institution that serves a dual purpose: providing high-quality orthodontic care to the community and offering an advanced educational program for aspiring orthodontists. Located in Greensburg, PA, it operates under the umbrella of Seton Hill University's accredited graduate program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Mission and Philosophy: The center's core mission is to deliver comprehensive and affordable orthodontic treatment to patients of all ages, while simultaneously training the next generation of orthodontic specialists. This unique model allows patients to receive expert care at a more accessible cost, as treatment is provided by residents who are closely supervised by experienced, board-certified faculty orthodontists. The emphasis is on delivering exceptional care, utilizing the latest advancements in orthodontic technology, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes for ideal teeth and jaw alignment, proper function, and a perfect smile. Services Offered: The Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics offers a wide range of orthodontic services, tailored to individual patient needs. These include: Traditional Braces: Conventional braces, which are effective, popular, and often the most economical option. Patients can personalize their treatment by choosing different band colors. Self-Ligating Braces: Similar to conventional braces but without elastic ties, potentially reducing the number of orthodontic visits. Ceramic Braces: Clear or tooth-colored braces that are less noticeable than traditional metal braces, often preferred by adults and teens seeking a more aesthetic option. Invisalign: Clear, removable aligners that offer a discreet alternative to traditional braces. Patients wear these aligners most of the time, removing them only for eating and brushing. The center has received recognition as a Gold Invisalign Provider. Specialty Treatments: The center also has expertise in treating complex cases, including temporomandibular disorders (TMD/TMJ) and orofacial pain, as well as providing treatment for cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies. Educational Program: The Center for Orthodontics is an integral part of Seton Hill University's 30-month Master of Science and Certificate program in Orthodontics. This rigorous, full-time post-doctoral residency program combines intensive didactic instruction with supervised clinical training. Residents gain hands-on experience with various contemporary orthodontic techniques and technologies, including 3D imaging and iTero scanning. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and prepares graduates for practice in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, with residents being eligible for American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification upon fulfilling clinical requirements. Community Impact and Accessibility: A significant aspect of the Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics is its commitment to serving the community, particularly low-income families and those with multiple children requiring orthodontic care. By offering affordable treatment options and accepting most insurance plans, along with no-interest payment plans, the center strives to make orthodontic care accessible to a broader population in the Greensburg and surrounding areas. This dedication to community service has led to the center being consistently recognized with awards such as "Best of the Best" in the Westmoreland region. Facilities and Team: The center operates in a modern facility equipped with specialized technology. The team comprises highly experienced faculty orthodontists who provide direct supervision and mentorship to the residents. This collaborative environment ensures that every patient receives care that is both cutting-edge and personalized.

Our experience so far has been great. My 11 year old son has been treated here for 11 months for some major issues with an underbite. We have been seeing Dr Kats and she is amazing. The facility is very clean and updated. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to take their child for orthodontics to check out this place.

Couldn't be happier with the results we got from Seton Hill Orthodontics!! We went there after another orthodontist over corrected and earlier phase and then wanted me to pay to fix his error. Dr. Chris was able to get him back on track and his teeth look great - for a fraction of the cost!!!! Wish I had went there with my older two as well!!! And the office staff is amazing! Thanks again
