I really don't understand why a patient is never included in the decision making of their health. For example I believe if you want a tooth out you should be able to have a tooth out. Some people can't afford to keep going to the dentist plus some people don't trust x rays all the time. How do you know they are telling the truth? They are computers

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I went in on 12/17/24 for 2 filling that broke (after years of having them put in by some other dentist over 5 years ago)! I went in to see Dr. Gilbert for my 1st work to be done to repair my fillings on my top right 2 teeth & of course I was told that I needed a bunch of X-rays I said ok on 12/17/24! At this my first appt to due my filling repairs work done with old guy Dr.

Gilbert but, it was due to his assistant who was too busy mixing the filling stuff for my top 2 right side teeth & she put the tube for suction in & it just sat the entire time on my bottom right implant & i keep choking & I had to lift the suction tube myself because I was choking & it was obviously bothering me but, the dentist assistant was too busy mixing the filling stuff she just put the suction tube on my bottom right side because he was drilling out the rest of my 2 top/right 2 broken fillings & I had to lift out the suction tube by “myself 2 times” & I looked at his asst but, she didn’t care I was choking on the suction tube & it was obvious the suction tube was choking me & it was put directly on top of my bottom right implant & another thing I was giving so much numbing stuff I was still numb all night long into the next afternoon. But, by that next day after the numbing stuff wore off I had pain but, it was not where he did my fillings IT WAS ON MY BOTTOM RIGHT IMPLANT WHERE THAT OBVIOUSLY DIRTY & UNSANITARY SUCTION TUBE SAT THE ENTIRE TIME & IT GAVE ME A INFECTION!! THE FIRST 2 DAYS I WAS RINSING OUT MY MOUTH WITH WARM SALT WATER&A DENTAL RINCE I HAD.

BUT, BY MY 2ND VISIT ON 12/19/24 I WAS GIVNG A Z-PAC ANTIBIOTIC BUT, MY FACE GOT EVEN MORE RED&SWOLLEN. AFTER, I AGAIN CALLED 2-3 TIMES & I WAS VERY ANGRY & I TOLD THEM I MUST BE SEEN & THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO URGENT CARE OR TO THE ER!! I SAID ABSOLUTELY NOT, I WILL GET A LAWYER THATS WHEN THEY BROUGHT ME BACK IN AGAIN WITH A DIFFERENT DENTIST WHO LOOKED AT ME FOR 2 MINUTES & HE SAID YOU NEED A STRONGER ANTIBIOTIC & ALSO YOU NEED STEROIDS!!

I'm not sure if this is usual but it feels like it should not be like this? The hygienist was measuring my gums, hands with gloves on, and typing in numbers on the keyboard between every measurement and putting the gloved hand back into my mouth. Prior to that she used the keyboard without gloves on and touched other items in the room, the keyboard was not wiped down before this either (but even then. . .

). My sore throat for a few days after could likely be from other unrelated things but it definitely made me very uncomfortable with the idea of basically eating her keyboard.
