While I’ve had a positive experience with the doctors and hygienists in this office for several years, the experience I had today with their insurance/scheduling department was extremely frustrating. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday at 11am. On Wednesday (yesterday) at 3:30pm, I received a call/voicemail that they did not have my insurance on file. After I called this morning to provide the needed information, I was told everything was good to go.

A few minutes later, I received a call from a different individual and asked if I was available at 2pm Friday instead. Apparently my 11am appointment was cancelled/given away because they did not have my insurance information in time. Their policy requires 48 hours notice, but I was not even called 48 hours in advance to have the opportunity to comply with this “policy. ” It is incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate to clients to operate in this way.

I had arranged my work and childcare to attend my appointment and ended up having to cancel altogether.

I wish I could’ve had a better experience scheduling my next appointment, especially since my first visit went well. I thought I had a shot at having a reliable local dentist within my network that both my husband and I could go to. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office over the phone.

I called to ask questions about scheduling an appointment using the estimate I was given and to clarify my insurance coverage. Instead of being helped, I was told I was “overreacting” simply for asking questions. As someone who is currently pregnant, I wanted to make sure I had the proper medical clearance, but the receptionist (Lisa) began giving me conflicting and confusing information. When I called back to check with another receptionist, the conversation started off okay but ended on a disrespectful note.

I was genuinely trying to understand policies and make sure everything was in order, yet I was met with rudeness and a lack of empathy. It’s disappointing that policies are thrown at patients without checking if we can realistically meet the requirements. Clear communication and respectful customer service should be standard — not optional.

Dr. Salem and & hygienist Sasha from Triangle family dentistry are amazing. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. The office was clean and well-organized, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Salem, is professional, attentive, and takes the time to explain every step of any procedure, which I greatly appreciated.

Between Dr. Salem and hygienist Sasha, together with their expertise and gentle approach make every teeth cleaning visit, as smooth as possible. I am very satisfied with the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Salem and hygienist Sasha at Triangle Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring dentist. Absolutely the best dental experience I’ve ever had! This was hands-down the fastest and smoothest first appointment I’ve ever had at a dental clinic. I’ve been living in Raleigh for over 8 years, and I finally found a place that I feel truly comfortable coming back to. From the moment I walked in, everything was seamless. Sherita at the front desk made the check-in process flawless, she got all my forms set up quickly and with a smile.

Cass, the dental hygienist, was incredibly efficient, kind, welcoming, and caring. She made me feel at ease right away. Dr. Long was super professional, straightforward, and gave me honest advice without any pressure.

And to top it all off, Lola at checkout was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. One thing I really appreciated is that this clinic doesn’t try to push you into treatments or services you’re not comfortable with. They genuinely care about patient comfort and choice. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great dental experience in Raleigh!
