One of the most integral parts of this practice is Charlotte, who not only serves as the office manager but also actively assists in clinical procedures.

This dentist is the only dentist in East Tennessee and Virginia that accepts TnCare. That being said, they are always extremely busy and they pull kids in and out so fast it doesn’t give them time to concentrate on each child’s needs. I have three kids that I’ve brought there. My oldest son was referred to Knoxville for a set of braces, he got the braces on and I was having to drive back and forth for his appointments. The Knoxville dentist stopped accepting his insurance and he was made to go back to Watauga, he needed his braces removed but w we were told only the dentist that put them in could take them off. I finally got that dentist to agree to remove them but by that time it had destroyed my son’s teeth. Then with my daughter she had been going to Watauga get whole life. She was having tooth pain and I took her in to get a root canal done and they actually did the wrong tooth. This made her front tooth start to turn gray.

She has had multiple dental surgeries and complains still of her jaw hurting and back teeth. The problem never gets resolved. Then there is my youngest son, he has been a patient there since birth as well. He has an extra tooth growing in behind his front teeth, I’ve discussed removing it but to no success, he is extremely self conscious about his teeth, I’ve asked about braces, they said he was too young. Now he is 15 and has pain and a hole in his back tooth but he is afraid to go to this dentist because he said they don’t help they just clean his teeth and send him on his way. Ever since they killed my daughters front tooth by doing a root canal in the wrong tooth, it’s all I can do to drag my kids in there. This dentist office has way too many patients they are responsible for seeing. There needs to be more dental offices around the tricities that will help and accept TnCare patients! And God forbid you have an actual emergency and your child is in pain, they have to have a cancellation to get you in and if not your appointment is going to be at least three months out. I’m sure I’ll not the only parent that feels this way as All the children of East Tennessee and Virginia on Medicaid are forced to go here due to no one else accepting their insurance!….

AND FOR THE VERY FEW THAT LEFT GOOD REVIEWS: saying that others are only leaving bad reviews because we didn’t get our way?🤦‍♀️Uhhh NO! This place has destroyed two of my children’s teeth and I’m not about to let them destroy my youngest. This place has too many patients, they over book, they work on the wrong teeth FOR GODS SAKE! Not to mention I live all the way in Jonesboro, took my daughter out of school and was headed to her appointment and as soon as I got into Kingsport I got a phone call saying they would have to reschedule BECAUSE they double booked. I said I needed a Dr note because I had already dragged her out of school and was told they couldn’t give me one unless she was seen by the dentist🤦‍♀️ your right THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT ACCEPT TNCARE. Therefore they have way too many patients and are getting sloppy. This needs to change. There needs to be other options for you to take your children for dental work, they shouldn’t be made to suffer and see a quack due to their insurance! UPDATE: I already got my sons into another dentist but unfortunately my daughter was still having to go to this TERRIBLE PLACE. She had an important appointment coming up from where she STAYS IN PAIN! But since my honest review…. They hand sent me a letter saying because of my Google comment they would no longer see her 🤣 Yeah…. Go ahead and take your kids or yourself there but don’t be surprised at the actual LACK OF CARE YOU GET

I had called to reschedule my children’s appointment due to the flu and I dealt with an extremely hateful lady, she even threatened to discharge my children.

I have only ever rescheduled 2 times in 3 years! I’m not sure if it was a worker or the owner but if I could find a new dentist for my children I would just leave & never return! If you do not like dealing with people that have children then do not work the phones! Kids get sick and no one can control that! They need to be more understanding!

The Dentist and staff we saw today were amazing! They were friendly got us in pretty quick. They explained everything thoroughly, even checked on us within the 10 min we were in the back waiting to be seen.
