Our experienced dental professionals are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality care.
I have been coming to this practice since moving to Raleigh in 2008. They always do a great job. The thing I respect the most is they are honest. I trust their opinions and have never been pushed to get things done unless they are completely necessary. This is not the case in all dental offices from my past experience. Thank you Wiggs Family Dental!

I have been a patient of Dr Wiggs since 1981. Dr Wiggs and Dr Matt are the utmost professionals. I trust them with all my dental needs. In addition to being their patient, they treat me like family. Their staff does as well. Allison, Connie, Jodi and Meagan are all top notch. I lost my husband several months ago.
Allison and Connie sent me a package at Christmas with 12 individually wrapped gifts- one for each of the 12 days of Christmas. How cool is that? Recently I had to have an implant. Dr Matt took care of me explaining everything in simple, easy to understand terms. Implants aren’t cheap, but Wiggs Family Dentistry worked with me and allowed me to make payments in a time frame that I could handle. How compassionate is that? I have referred many friends to Dr Wiggs and Dr Matt and will continue to do so. Please call their office - tell them Kathy sent you! I guarantee that you will be very pleased!

I landed at this office after trying 3 other dental offices in Raleigh. From the moment I made the call to schedule, it has been a great experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Wiggs is honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would recommend going here over any of the other "corporate" dental offices.

I grew up going to the UNC School of Dentistry because it was affordable for my mom. It was mostly fine, but as an adult, I hadn't seen the dentist since I was 18. At one point in my early 20's, I had a tooth crack and, of course being young and "invincible", I just lived with it. Until a few years later when that tooth was all of a sudden in horribly severe pain. Prior to this, I'd tried a couple of big name dentists to check in on what to do with my wisdom teeth, which were causing me no real problems, but I knew you were supposed to have them removed at some point. These dentists are the ones with tons of offices and silly perks like ipads to watch netflix on while they clean your teeth, dentists you probably would see if you did any kind of search for a dentist in the area. I was very turned off by my experience at these. They felt extremely commercialized and pumped you in and out, with a thousand reminders before even being seen about paying them, and with dentists who saw me for all of a minute and told me the ONLY option was to knock me out and rip these teeth out. Maybe that was true, but my gut told me this isn't how a professional works and I gave up on seeing a dentist again just because of the hassle and cost, even with dental insurance. A couple of years later and we're back to my cracked tooth being in excruciating pain. I kept trying to manage it with OTC pain meds, but luckily for me, my boss at the time forced me to go see his friend, Dr. Matt Wiggs, when he happened to see me in pain at work.
Reluctantly, I went, expecting the same commercialized experience I'd gotten at these other big name dentistry. To my very pleasant surprise, the description of 'Family Dentistry' in the name was accurate, both father and son worked on site and this was obviously a local, family owned business. They saw me immediately, scheduled all of the appointments I needed immediately, took care of cavities and a root canal for my cracked tooth, and I've never looked back. To put things into perspective, this is about an hour drive for me one way from my home, but I refuse to take a risk on any other dentistry. Dr. Wiggs, Jr. , was fact based, to the point, and no nonsense. Since seeing him, I've taken much better care of my teeth and have had zero issues. I've also very much appreciated that Dr. Wiggs and his staff don't just plunge into anything they THINK might be a cavity, etc. , they give the issue time and make sure there is work to be done before doing the work. The other dentistry I'd visited prior to this always seemed eager - yes, eager - to shoot me up with a numbing agent and drill away.
Additionally, Dr. Wiggs was the first person that actually took a look at my wisdom teeth carefully and gave me the realistic options I suspected. . . I have a huge mouth, if you can't tell by the length of this review, and I'm probably fine keeping my wisdom teeth, but it would be his recommendation that I remove them due to their general tendency to get cavities among most people. His suggestion was to keep an eye on them and, if they developed any issues, at that point we could discuss further. Guess what? A few years later and I still have my wisdom teeth, no issues. Turns out Dr. Wiggs was correct, there was no NEED to pull them out, as others had suggest were my only option. I would highly recommend Wiggs Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a 'forever' dentist with no frills, just excellent service.
