Our experienced dental professionals are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality care.
Dr Mask took care of 2 cavities that my 8 year old had. He was so gentle and kind that she never even knew she had a needle in her mouth at all. I was impressed with how they handled it. This practice is really wonderful.

IF you have great Dental insurance AND you never have to deal with billing, this place is aces. So, props to the Hygienists and Dentists. Honestly. THAT SAID, RUN FAST if your insurance changes. You'll be lied to, manipulated, and treated like garbage. We loved the practice, so we thought we'd figure out the details when our insurance changed to one they don't accept (thanks employer!). When we initiated the conversation, we were led to believe we'd be able to work it out. There were also a few procedures we were actually told would still be taken care of by our insurance even out of network (I'm not making this up--I was literally told while laying in the chair after my cleaning 'don't worry, this is covered by your insurance') and so naively, being on the spot, and not having the time to get out of the chair and go call to confirm with insurance, I obviously approved, like most rational human beings would. I will spare you the details. If you question my integrity, you can read my hundreds of other reviews on Google. I don't generally bother if a business hasn't done really well or really poorly.
The fine line of it is: we went from having everything covered to owing almost $800 for my family to have our bi-annual cleanings. That's a lot (at least to us). So, we started making payment plans. My wife was told as long as we paid in, we'd be fine. Fast forward to now, we are (over) due to have cleanings and one of the crowns Zugs put in is causing her pain. I'm not saying it's anyone's fault, but regardless, we need a professional to look at it. While attempting to switch to another practice (WHO DOES accept our new insurance), Zugs is withholding our records due to the balance. As we explained to Zugs, we're making payments. We have every intention to continue paying. Prior to this ordeal, had our insurance been switched again (likely, given the history of my employer shopping around), we probably would've loved to return. HOWEVER, they're telling us it's strict policy that they will not work with us whatsoever.
Insofar as my wife was told that 'we're lucky' they're not forwarding our balance to the magistrate or collections. Thanks to our phenomenal healthcare system, we're stuck in a loop right now with semi-emergent dental needs and a provider who's unwilling to make it right. So. In fairness, this is likely pretty standard for most practices. And in fairness, most people we talk to always have different issues with medical billing and coding. All we were looking for was the 'human element. ' And what we got was a rude, unprofessional, and de-facto emotionless (or worse, a crass and dispassionate) response to our plea for help. I would suggest Zug's take a long look at themselves and consider how you treat your patients. And who you staff to take care of your patients needs, because as a healthcare establishment, your duty goes beyond making sure our smiles are bright.

It's hard to believe that this is the same practice I went to as a child when it was truly family centered. Now, you're clearly just a patient that needs processed efficiently in a large and probably overbooked practice. People who are not the dentist will conduct fillings with little to no oversight. This has led multiple fillings for my family that were uncomfortable and in one instance induced debilitating pain for my wife that had to be resolved by another practice.
Two star reviews are extremely rare for me. But after giving my life-long dentist multiple chances, it's only fair.

Switch my autistic teen from the pediatric dentist. Was worried at first due to his anxiety around new people and new places. The staff was very friendly and understanding. His hygienist explained everything in detail and I could see he was feeling comfortable and at ease. A lot of patience displayed when it came to the x-rays, he wouldn't stop gagging. This mother is very happy and pleased.
