About
Born in Miami, Florida, Dr. Jason Alter was raised to uphold the Golden Rule and currently applies it to his dental practice daily. He is a firm believer in treating every patient that sits in his chair as if they were his own family member. Dr. Alter's goal for every appointment is to ensure that he is both gentle and empathetic by taking the time to explain procedures and making sure his patient is as comfortable as possible. Dr. Alter completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, earning a B.S. in Exercise Science. A member of the inaugural class, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Attending school on the west coast of Florida motivated Dr. Alter to leave the hectic big city life and settle down with his wife in St.Petersburg, Florida. Obsessed with learning and fearful of plateauing, Dr. Alter loves to travel around the U.S and take continuing education courses that teach him new skills and help fine tune his old ones. While Dr. Alter enjoys most aspects of dentistry, he has an affinity for getting patients out of severe pain and performing cosmetic cases that improve his patient's overall quality of life. Dr. Alter enjoys a very active lifestyle outside of dentistry. He enjoys exercising, playing competitive sports, and performing with his Latin dance team. His true passion is traveling and experiencing all that the world has to offer. His ultimate goal is to visit every country in the world and drink their local beer. Cheers!
