About
Dr. Klaus Guter joined Oral Surgery of Tidewater family 2001 after serving in the United States Navy where he completed his oral & maxillofacial training at the Navy hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Guter is a native of Bogota, Columbia in South America and grew up in Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University, as well as The Ohio State University of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Guter is a Diplomate and member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Guter is a former director of the Division of oral medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School and an active member of various dental and medical societies. Outside of the office, Dr. Guter enjoys golfing and travel. He is an active member in his church and looks forward to the annual mission trip with Graceful Giving in El Salvador, providing dental treatment to those in need.
