On 03/17/25, Monday, my daughter had a horrible experience with the medical staff and reception staff member (Vanessa) except for the Surgeon, Dr. Griffin who was empathetic, kind, and efficient; she was wonderful. Kudos to Chelsea for being so accommodating and answered all our questions during pre-op. Even on the phone, Chelsea was so nice and explained everything. Don't ever change Chelsea, you are doing an amazing job. The front desk staff and dental assistant were dismissive, lack empathy, and did not give any information and was gossiping about other employees from Waugh Chapel. This was unprofessional behavior to gossip while there are patients and family members present in front lobby, overhearing the negative comments and conversation. Upon arrival, no verification was completed to confirm my daughter's name or what type of procedure she was having.

When they were getting ready to take my daughter for surgery, she had an anxiety attack, was very scared, and wanted to see me. We ask if we can calm her down and the staff was dismissive and we were told "NO. " No questions were ask, or to relieve any anxiety as a reassurance from the dental assistant, who lacked compassion and didn't care. We ask if we can de-escalate the situation and calm my daughter down, the dental assistant once again, was harsh and didn't care. As this was happening, the front desk staff (Vanessa) was laughing about my request to see my daughter. When my daughter woke up from the surgery, she was crying and was told to stop crying or she will not be able to go home by the dental assistant. While being discharged, the dental assistant did not complete my daughter's discharge education, and left while I was trying to calm my daughter down from waking up from anesthesia, I believe she got annoyed, and just got up and walked away without any explanation or letting us know why she left and she never came back. Later to find out she was at the front desk and if the surgeon didn't check on us, we would have not know what to do next.

She had (Dr. Griffin) to step in to complete the discharge information. I would not recommend this location for a horrific experience. On the other hand, my other daughter had a similar surgery and went to the Waugh Chapel location, we had such a wonderful experience from all the staff who were kind, empathetic, compassionate, funny, and professional. Thank you to the Waugh Chapel Team for a great experience and you are the best.

Well Doctor Griffith came in and asked me how I was doing and said hello very nicely and the two young ladies that was assisting her were very sweet. Also a very polite nice. Dr. Griffith was very nice to me and made me feel very comfortable. I had two teeth pulled one upper which was tough to get out and then the lower one. Well it hurt. I was insidated very well but for some reason the lower tooth was bad. I guess worse. I felt the pain and scared but the two young ladies held my hand at each one right and left what the doctor of Griffin was.

I was in the office to have 3 teeth pulled. Dr Griffin and her two assistants were fantastic! They were so attentive and kind. What a team! Having teeth pulled isn’t a fun thing to do but these ladies are so professional.

I was missing some X-rays they needed and they called two other dentists to get them. If I ever need more oral surgery this is my go to office on Riva Road in Annapolis. Barb Burke
