Detailed Introduction

Comfort Dental, specifically the location at 1261 38th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, is a dental clinic that operates as part of a larger franchise founded by Dr. Rick A. Kushner. This network boasts over 150 locations across 10 states, making it a significant player in the dental industry. The core mission of Comfort Dental is to make high-quality dental care both accessible and affordable for families. The Myrtle Beach clinic offers a wide range of services, encompassing general dentistry, emergency dental care, and cosmetic dentistry. Patients can receive routine check-ups and cleanings, fillings (including mercury-safe and mercury-free options), fluoride treatments, and more comprehensive procedures like wisdom teeth extractions. For those experiencing unexpected dental issues, Comfort Dental prioritizes emergency appointments, often providing same-day relief for toothaches, broken teeth, or other urgent concerns. In terms of cosmetic dentistry, the clinic provides services such as teeth whitening, dental bonding, porcelain crowns, bridges, and veneers. They also offer modern solutions like dental implants for missing teeth and Invisalign clear aligners for teeth straightening. A key aspect of Comfort Dental's approach is patient comfort, which is reflected in their name and services. They aim to reduce anxiety associated with dental visits by offering options like nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and focusing on gentle, compassionate care. The clinic is equipped with modern dental technology to ensure precision and efficiency in treatments. Comfort Dental is known for its flexible office hours, which typically include evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate busy schedules. They also strive to make dental care financially manageable by accepting many insurance plans and offering payment options like CareCredit. While part of a larger franchise, individual offices, like the one in Myrtle Beach led by dentists such as Dr. Bill Funderburk, often highlight their commitment to personalized attention and high-quality outcomes.

I don't care about those negative reviews on the receptionist, because if you can't accept the truth you shouldn't ask. I had an accident and broke a bridge that was about 25 years old. I researched the dentist offices in the area and found this office. What I like is the receptionist and doctor work in sync and really know their work. The office specializes in personal needs and you don't feel you are being shuffled through.

After consultation I chose them to correct my problem. Boy I'm glad I did. Not only was the repair work handled in a much shorter time than other places, they use high tech techniques and the replacement bridge is MUCH better than the original. If you want personalized and professional services this is your place. Trust me on it!

My family and I have been going here for years.. I've had a couple crowns done (made on the premises) Always good at fitting us in quickly! Recently had a painless extraction.. we would certainly give them a great recommendation!

The negative comments are accurate! I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and regret it! The receptionist who is also the "dental assistant" is the only one you speak to/see. She directly billed me almost $300 for one x-ray that she refused to provide after I canceled the service appointment. She lied saying my insurance was billed and wouldn't provide their tax ID or dental codes for the x-ray so I could be reimbursed over a month later. When you ask questions that make sense she gets flustered, spews a script, then says there is someone in front of her and so she has to get off the phone. That place is DEAD, no client is ever there when I showed up and they are not "by appointment only".

Never met, saw, or spoke to a real dentist. She was in a rush to get all my money and do work she wasn't even sure I needed. When i asked to speak with the dentist, her response was "he only comes in for procedures". DON'T GO HERE!!!!

I normally don’t like to go to a dentist but this office is totally different. My previous dentist did substandard work and Stacey and Dr. Bill took on the challenge to correct my issues. They are very accomodating with schedules and do thorough and high quality work. Would recommend this office over all I have previously had.
