I have been going to this Dental group for over 10 years. They have changed dentists a lot lately. On my last routine cleaning visit in November of 2024 I was told I had 3 cavities which my insurance doesn't pay for, which they quoted $163. 00 for at the time of visit. (I didn't do it) I wanted a printout of exact estimate so I could double check with my insurance. They emailed me a different estimate stating 4 cavities and $383. 00 charge. I decided to get a second opinion with a different dental group.

I just got back from that visit. I have absolutely no cavities. Do not go to this dentist unless you want to get ripped off. Fair warning. Also, when I did do one filling about a year ago, it took 3 needles before he numbed me enough for just one filling. Which, looking back, I probably didn't even have.

UPDATE: Completely coincidental to my below review, I had a second dental emergency a week ago. After the experience, I have to say: Dr. Paul Pfefferle is the kind of dentist you'd hope to run into (thoughtful, kind and understanding of the need for one's financial balancing act), Dental hygienist Danielle has an absolutely lovely 'chair-side' manner, and Brenda of the front office has always been easy to work with (which is saying something, since the front office can be a pretty demanding place in its own way). * I had a dental emergency. Everyone at Dr.

Dental of Hackensack pitched in to help in an efficient and timely manner. Grateful to them all. It was an excellent experience.
