BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE!!!! In my opinion, there is fraud going on here! SUMMARY: I was told at this office I had four cavities--sought second opinion from a dentist (who did not have a movie theatre in the waiting room or flat panel screens EVERYWHERE) and in actuality, I HAD NO CAVITIES!! Details here if you want the full story: I went to the office in Suffolk in Nov. 2011 as a new patient. The dentist came in (did not greet me or introduce himself) and then proceeded to tell me I had FOUR cavities!! I have seen a dentist every six months for most of my life and have never had dental issues of this magnitude. The office seemed to be chomping at the bit to schedule when I would get my fillings. I was hesitant, of course, since this seemed very out of line with ANY dental experience I had ever had. I was told when I was checking out how much insurance would pay and how much I would be expected to pay ($458).

I was told they could schedule me the next morning at 8am. It all just seemed so fast!! I took the appointment and then canceled wanting to seek a 2nd opinion. I was told if I did not keep this appointment it would take 3 months before I could get in again. I told them that was fine I wanted a copy of my x-rays and I would be seeking a second opinion. I was called several times after this by the office trying to set up my fillings. I was seen by another Dentist who looked at the x-rays and took bit wings of his own.

He gave me a thorough exam including LOTS OF PUSHING to check where I "supposedly" had cavities. He shook his head and said "You do not have a cavity in your head. You have extremely healthy teeth!" Needless to say, I will NEVER go to this practice again. I suggest you be very cautious if you choose to go here and seek a second opinion if anything seems out of your dental history!!!!!!

It was my daughters first time back to the dentist in a while and she was nervous, but Tara the hygienist was absolutely amazing, and we will continue coming here because of her. She was so pleasant to speak with and she walked my daughter through every step of the exam to help her feel at ease.

I can not say enough about my dental experience. After my grandmother went and raved about the services I scheduled an appointment. They honored the cleaning special and went above to ensure that I was happy and understood all services needed. They were through in the cleaning and upfront about treatment.

Nicole and Monica were phenomenal in their treatment coordination. I recommend this office to anyone.

Unfortunately did not have a good experience here. I came in because I had been experiencing chronic tooth pain in my back molar for over a year. They took about 15 different x-rays before concluding it was likely a result of teeth grinding (yeah, no). However, they had no problem suggesting about a million other different procedures that "needed" to be done, and oh, just wait here, we'll send in our financial advisor to talk with you about setting up a payment plan right now! Now, I get the importance of preventative care and I understand they were coming from a good place (my teeth have some significant issues), but it just seemed really presumptuous to assume I'd lay down thousands in dental care after sitting in a chair for thirty minutes just off their say-so, *especially* since this care completely ignored what I came in for in the first place! Anyways, back to the molar pain.

Somehow their 15 x-rays failed to see that my wisdom tooth was digging straight into my molar. A single x-ray at a dental clinic in Thailand revealed that this was the issue and it was removed the following week with great success. Still, the molar might need further operations since the wisdom tooth left a cavity in it near the nerve. Now I wonder if this damage could've been prevented by more perceptive dental work at Konikoff.

Two stars because the staff were nice and good-natured and they accepted appointments quickly and easily.
