Great first time experience. My son and I both got an exam and a cleaning. Staff is very friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming and it was very clean.

Office was clean, receptionists were nice, the hygienist was very nice and professional. But when the dentist came in, he started suggesting a solution to my problem TO to hygienist, not me. Had he talked to me first, I would have told him I’ve already done what he suggested and it didn’t work. He then palpated my jaw for about 30 seconds, was able to get my jaw to lock less than 1 finger open (which is why I was there), and then told me I was fine and needed no treatment.

He did concede to refer me to an oral surgeon after I questioned him. All in all I was in the same room as the dentist for about 2 minutes. Now I understand that I am not the expert in dentistry, perhaps it is within the range of normal for one’s jaw to lock when the dentist is examining you. The dentist did do what I needed, which was refer me to a specialist.

But I did feel like he was humoring me and I had to interrupt him multiple times to even attempt to explain my history with TMJ and orthodontics. Since the specialist does not diagnose, they only treat, I fear the doctor’s referral and note to “evaluate for TMJ” will not be enough to get treated by the specialist. We’ll see.

I enjoy coming to this dentist. The dental hygienist Cheryl has to be the most gentle dental hygienist I ever had and she us a pleasure to converse with as long as her fingers and tools aren't in my mouth. LOL. And the dentist are awesome too. I've been coming here for at least 5 years and never had an unpleasant experience with cleaning my teeth or even getting a filling done.

I had an incredible experience at Pennsauken Family Dental. The entire staff is exceptionally well-coordinated, and the teamwork they exhibit is truly remarkable. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. They made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free, ensuring I felt comfortable right away.

The clinical staff was equally impressive. The dental assistants and hygienists were attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain each step of the process, which helped put me at ease. The doctors were outstanding—professional, patient, and highly skilled. They answered all my questions thoroughly and provided excellent care, making sure I felt confident in my treatment.

Overall, I left the office extremely pleased, with nothing but positive things to say. It’s rare to look forward to dental appointments, but thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and dedicated team at Pennsauken Family Dental, I truly do. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
