Dental fear no more after being treated by Dr. Shinabery! I have had to have a lot of dental work done mostly because I was afraid of going to the dentist after a long history of dental surgeries and bad experiences. I can barely put into words the difference that I have experienced at Rock Ridge Dentistry. Dr. Brian's calm way of explaining what is important and what can wait put me back in control of my dental health.

He took things slow and worked with me in a very conservative way rather than doing a procedure that may not be necessary. By working through a carefully thought out plan over a couple of years (I did say I had to get a lot of work done) I can see the light and look forward to going to the dentist. I have never felt not in control, my pain and fear has always been managed and every procedure was explained to me. I am so thankful for Rock Ridge Dentistry!

Unprofessional, Unhygienic, and fraudulent billing. First Cleaning visit I was told I have zero cavities and to schedule a cleaning in 6 months. Second cleaning I was told I have multiple cavities and they wanted to remove my wisdom teeth even though I am over 40. We compromised and scheduled a cavity filling for the bottom two wisdom teeth. Third visit is for the two fillings, but I am told after I am already in the chair and Novocained, that they will only be doing one today and I need to reschedule for the other the earliest availability is two months out.

While doing my filling, a third staff member comes to just talk to the Dentist and assistant. This causes distractions which made them not break off the brush for something which was “applied way too much and was not primer” according to the dentist. Did I ever get the primer, who knows? The Dentist was more interested in pulling out his phone to show videos of Uncle Dan to the staff. This was done twice while he was still wearing the medical gloves. The gloves were not replaced after touching his phone either time.

When I go to pay, I am told that I am also being charged for Fluoride from my second visit. I decline Fluoride as it is toxic and is not covered by insurance. So why am I being charged? I also was not provided an itemized bill.

I had a root canal done and it was awesome(said no one ever). But it really was. I had it scheduled but the pain got to be unbearable and I couldn’t wait 2 1/2 more weeks. I called and they squeezed me in their schedule just a couple days later. While I was waiting, they got me a script for antibiotics that helped with my tooth pain. This is my first root canal. I’ve always heard they are very painful to get worked on.

However, while having the work done I felt NO PAIN. Thats right, none. The procedure was done well, everything was explained perfectly before/during the procedure and I had very little wait time once in the office. Right after getting out of the chair I felt so much better and the next day was able to eat whatever I liked. Hot, cold, crunchy… didn’t matter. This couldn’t have gone any smoother. Everyone was so nice and explained everything perfectly.

Excellent communication. Very friendly environment. Clean, professional facility. Highly recommended. I feel like “I know a guy” now that will take care of my teeth. Thanks Rock Ridge!

I have been a patient for 8 years at this practice. Yesterday, I was assigned a new hygienist. She was so surly and clearly was having a bad day. She was rough with the X-rays and lowered my chair so low I was slipping down and getting dizzy. I asked her to bring it up and she would not. I left before she could start the cleaning because I could see how this was going to go. I went to the front desk, she followed me, told me would be billed for a missed appointment .

When reception asked me what happened, the lady wouldn’t leave so I could have a conversation. She was really aggressive and it was very odd. I left. The worst part of this is that Dr Brian never called me after I left. My family has gone here for 8 years. Tells you all you need to know about this place.
