This includes restorative dentistry, dental implants, and alternatives to traditional root canals. They also offer a comprehensive new patient exam that goes beyond a standard check-up, including a review of the patient's health history, concerns, and goals, as well as an airway screening and dental materials sensitivity testing. The practice prides itself on providing a welcoming and comfortable environment, with a mission to ensure patients feel heard and understand all of their treatment options. They serve patients from the Hudson Valley Region, including White Plains, Cortlandt Manor, Katonah, Mount Kisco, Briarcliff Manor, and Westchester County.

It's very rare that you can actually say a dentist changed your life. I wanted to wait over a month to write this because my results were honestly a miracle. I have been suffering from back pain and elbow pain for years. After coming across an article about root canals, I discovered that my root canal could be causing a lot of these issues I was having. I found Dr.

Lerner in my search for a holistic dentist to remove it properly, since traditional dentists do NOT do it the same way. The experience there has been one of the best atmospheres I have ever had in any doctors office. The family vibe is instantly felt and you feel like you belong once you walk in the door. The care and attention from the entire team is truly top notch and I will recommend everyone interested in Holistic dentistry to not hesitate using Dr. Lerner!

Beware! This place is a scam. Outrageous prices with no ability to provide a clear Fee-for-service breakdown of the treatment plan. They tried to charge me more than $10,000 to treat my TMJ. When I asked for an itemized description of the cost of the treatment they simply could not answer the questions. Please ask questions before signing up for one of their re-payment plans! All very fishy!

My experience with Dr. Lerner began with genuine optimism. His gentle demeanor, integration of kinesiology, and evident understanding of body-dental connections initially suggested a truly holistic approach to dental care. My case presents unique challenges. Following a "bacterial infection" eight years ago, I developed a chronic condition affecting my fascial structure and inner connective tissue. The condition manifests as extreme internal stiffness, creating intense pressure in that likely compresses fascia and cranial nerves that regulate blood flow to my jaw area, creating a cycle of inflammation of tissue breakdown. Despite these challenges, my overall health is excellent. I have no history of common health issues, maintain a clean diet centered, practice daily Qi Gong, and have always avoided processed foods and medications. Dr. Lerner's practice impressed initially with its comprehensive approach. However, after four visits of examination, standard cleaning and scaling procedures, a troubling pattern emerged: despite the holistic knowledge base, the practice defaulted to conventional, invasive approaches.

This experience revealed a fundamental flaw in modern healthcare: the gulf between holistic understanding and practical application. While the practice demonstrated knowledge of meridian theory and body-dental connections, this wisdom rarely translated into treatment approaches. Ideally, dentistry should work in concert with acupuncture, osteopathy, myofascial, and frequency-based treatments in one place. Instead, patients face the same limited menu of mechanistic interventions - extract, fill, enlarge, or cut. When presented with a recommendation to extract multiple teeth, I resisted based on understanding each tooth's connection to meridian pathways and overall body integrity. Despite my deep awareness of my body's needs, I remain open to professional insight about potential risks. However, the most troubling aspect wasn't the disagreement about treatment approach, but the impossibility of even having this discussion. My attempts to engage in meaningful dialogue about treatment alternatives and their implications - including a detailed letter expressing concerns and seeking clarification on costs - were met with silence. The problems extend beyond individual practice to systematic issues in medical care. The physical setup itself - from the reclining chair to the assembly-line scheduling - creates a power dynamic that diminishes patient agency. Every aspect of the experience seems designed to discourage genuine dialogue and reinforce passive acceptance of treatment plans.

This system clearly isn't designed for patients deeply attuned to their bodies. Rather than empowering patients toward greater self-awareness, it perpetuates dependence on institutional expertise. Those seeking genuine partnership in their healthcare decisions face systematic resistance. PRICING AND VALUE The disconnect between holistic philosophy and practice becomes particularly evident in the pricing structure. The "holistic" label appears to serve primarily as justification for premium pricing: These charges resulted in nearly $3,000 in expenses before any actual treatment began. Such pricing raises serious questions about accessibility and value, and reveals how "holistic" approaches can become exclusive rather than inclusive. FINAL ASSESSMENT Skill: 4/5 (Competent technical execution) Facility Cleanliness: 5/5 (Excellent) Patient Experience: Communication: 2/5 (Poor responsiveness, limited dialogue) Transparency: 2/5 (Unclear treatment costs) Cost: 2/5 (Significantly above market rate) Overall Value: 2. 5/5 (High cost without corresponding benefit) While Dr. Lerner's practice demonstrates technical competence and maintains high facility standards, the combination of poor communication, lack of transparency, and excessive pricing significantly undermines its value for patients seeking truly holistic care.
