This is being posted by Eric Edwards. What a disappointment! Let me fill you in. Eight years ago, I came to Universal Dentistry as a patient and had 22 teeth pulled and had a full set of dentures made. The experience was great! The service was great and I was very satisfied with my new dentures. Am now in need of a new set of dentures and booked an appointment for March 13th on the 12th of March. Before I called, I called my insurance company who assured me that everything was good in the way of coverage and them being in network.

I then called Universal to book the appointment and at that time Universal told me that they were in network with my insurance. I asked how much, if any, out of pocket expense would I have for the visit the next day. They told me that I would have a $56. 00 consult fee, that I would have to pay. I asked then if I would need to pay them then on that day, receptionist told me "no cash needed at time of visit. " On the day of the visit, I am checking in, and the receptionist asks me for the $56.

00 consult fee, and then told me that Universal is not in network with my insurance, how was my credit rating, and would I like for them to get me financing?!!! I sat there bewildered and very upset, and the receptionist asked me what was wrong. I proceeded to tell her that I was very confused and upset. I asked her what she would do if she were in my shoes and would she not be upset? (Especially, since I reside in New Castle, DE and their office is in Springfield, PA (28. 3 miles)!!!) She said to me, "If I were you, I would find a dentist in network with your insurance. " No, I am not making this up!!!

I am happy to report that I had a very pleasant experience at Universal Dentistry. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Also, the work was outstanding as usual. Very much appreciated!!!

Called this place and was told that they take my insurance. Once i got there i was told that they don't take insurance of any kind . . . The lady told me that the exam and xray Was free . . But once we got done they wanted $53 . She kept trying to sell me financing the work that needed to be done . .

. What was crazy is that she took my insurance card and did god knows what with it . . . Please don't go there . . .
